Looks impressive to me.

In case you missed it, here's the sell sheet (pics).

nice! looks strong! i am hoping they continue to put out this product, furthering it's collector base.

bradical 09-12-2012 03:59 PM

Whoops!

Sell sheet shows Puljols patch autos with the Cardinals, and then an inscribed version with 'Go Halos'.

messier2 09-12-2012 04:03 PM

Pink parallel /25? Damn...can't wait to see that....

That will be in Leaf Rookie Retro, not this one. Just FYI.

CubsFanInTX 09-12-2012 04:31 PM

I don't prospect, so it looks like this isn't a product for me, am I right? Pujols is the only name I recongized on that list.

Pete Rose was on it as well.

He's an Angel on the one with "Go Halos," so I don't see the problem?

It's a 2012 product and it has Pujols with the Cardinals in it. Maybe I am the only one who thinks its corny after the bad breakup between the two.
Pete Rose was on it as well.
Ah, well I scanned it must have missed him. Still doesn't sound like a product I would go for.

It'd be worse to see a big fat redbird beak on an Angels card. Relic cards should always--no excuses--be of the team the jersey is cut from.

Exactly!

And they will still sell for a MINT or be a great addition to a PC

jasonadkins 09-12-2012 07:06 PM

On the Sell Sheet, did Brian Gray not have an actual Pujols AUTO to copy and just sign a strange looking "Albert Pujols" full signature out of thin air?

Correction - BG just made a change, and now the Pinks will be inserted into this product instead.

go_steelers07 09-12-2012 09:32 PM

just like 2011 Draft Metal, these cards will have next to no value after the first of the year.

thescout 09-13-2012 01:05 AM

got soler, puig, berrios and giolito into it (and i assume valiant if he does it), that's pretty impressive, might be 2013 bowman before we see a lot of these guys otherwise

I guess the negotiations with BigBoyd broke down

JzWand 09-13-2012 11:44 AM

Almora, Buxton, Soler, Rose, Pujols. Not bad.

Since you are the prospecting expert- how have you done with this stuff in the past? I've opened Bowman and DEEE before but never any Leaf. Is it really risky opening boxes or cases? Do the singles have any value/nosedive after the players get a Bowman auto, etc?

I'm interested as a Cubs fan in Soler and Almora but I'm sure their Bowman autos are not too far out from being produced.

Not an expert, but I would recommend waiting until after the final checklist for Bowman Chrome comes out before you decide which singles from this product to pursue. It's always risky busting any sort of wax, no matter how stacked the checklist is, and no matter how many hits you're supposed to pull. I've had horrendous luck with wax over the past 25 years. If you bust this stuff, it's probably wise to flip your pulls sooner than later.
