Default 2012 Topps Chrome Refractor Hot Box...

I Opened up a box of 2012 Topps Chrome a few days ago and from the first pack I knew this was no ordinary box. All of the cards in the pack were refractors, as I dug into the box it continued. Once I figured out what was going on I immediately asked my buddy if he had heard of anything like this and he said yes they come about one in every three cases. At that point I am thinking, there has to be some serious hits in this box...

Unfortunately that was not the case. I ended up getting a Austin Romine Blue Refractor Auto and a Chris Parmalee base auto (only card in the box that was not a refractor) with no other real color refractors to really talk about. I was disappointed and was wondering if any of you guys have had any luck with these "refractor hot boxes"...

To make matters worse, I opened up another box right after and for the first time (I have opened about 3 cases of this stuff) I got two autographs of the same player! Eric Surkamp, both in one box! You can imagine how furious I was at that moment haha.

A buddy of mine busted a case of 2012 Chrome and came across one of the hot boxes. The autos weren't that fantastic, but it sure was interesting. After the 2nd pack he realized that all the cards were a little too shiny.

Here's the link to the box break, if you'd like to see for yourself:

A lot of folks were saying that the hot box autos sucked, but the distribution of autos seems to be about the same in hot boxes as in all other boxes. Seen at least 2 people pull Harper autos out of hot boxes over in the Breaks forum.
