It's Bowman Chrome, it's always a bunch of 22-23 years old playing in double A. They won't have 20 5-star autos in this product. I think compared to previous years, this is not bad.

I don't have a lot of funds to throw around on this product so I'll probably hone in on these names:

Jorge Soler
Nick Castellanos
Cody Buckel
Jose Campos
James Paxton
Ronald Guzman
Nomar Mazara
(one of these pair I have a good feeling about - but not sure which Ranger will break out)

Why do people insist on saying who they are buying? It's not going to lower prices any.

Not sure why people are so down on this list? I think it's one of the best bowman chrome lists in a while. Lots of solid prospect autos in there.

They don't know prospects plain and simple.

Guess not. I count at least 17 guys I'd be interested in.

a little off topic but if I'm case breaking bowman chrome what is the best way to sell prospects that aren't in the "top tier?" as lots or individually?

Yeah I mean not every player is going to be good, but seemingly compared to 2011 this is much deeper.

Another question for the experts. Is this a rip & flip product or buy & hold?

Red Sox prospect. Was in low A this past year - at least part of it.

Just be sure to list them early. Prices are usually the highest then.

Ok guys, I admit, I'm not a big prospecting guy. Here is an easy question. By my count, just over 40 guys on the list, but only 20 MLB organizations represented. So, that means 10 go without representation. Is that high, or about what you'd expect? My point is - a few teams are loaded (just in terms of # of names - not necessarily quality) while some have no names at all.

Pretty much normal - or are other names going to make it onto the checklist for autos?

Unlike the All-Star and Futures games, Topps doesn't give consideration to giving all organizations at least 1 rep in their auto checklists.

To me as a Cubs fan its decent- as a prospecter I think the list is not top heavy but fairly 'deep' or solid. With that said and my luck on Bowman Chrome I don't see the value in breaking. There was little color to be found in Bowman this year- for me at least- 3 jumbo cases without 1 gold auto even, and I hit very few bigger names. I took a gigantic loss when I could have made a few hundred per case flipping them sealed and then targeting autos of guys I liked (ironically I didn't even pull much of my sleepers that I targeted).

I just think you can do much better targeting auto singles and then you dont have to worry about a bunch of worthless veteran cards lying around. Even at 16 autos/ case you have to avg about $45 per auto to break even. If you are fortunate you will hit a gold maybe per case. 1 or 2 blue. Maybe 4 or 5 refractor autos and the rest base.

Awesome that we finally got a prospect auto checklist.

Very excited about Jorge Soler.

I'm still wondering about the possibility of RC autos that a lot of us speculated about. I know they said Will Middlebrooks and Trevor Bauer would have an autograph in this product, just not specific to what kind. And then you got the big 3 (Harper, Darvish, Cespedes) on the sell sheet.
