Still technically keyword spamming, but a beautiful specimen, nonetheless.

Well I know the question everyone is thinking but is too afraid to ask, so I will: IS THIS A STEAL AT $15K???????

Seriously though, that is quite the lovely card.

Its definitely for real when he signs in person - not sure how he will sign his cards in the future, but in person you no longer get that beautiful sig normally any more

I disagree with autos needing to be grandma-approved cursive to be "good". And its not just new guys with bad autos- Ryne Sandberg was my favorite player as a kid but some of his autos in Tier One and Museum are atrocious. There are some autos I think are junk but I think its cool just seeing everyone's style and instantly recognizing the second you see a card. Usually my brain "identifies" the card by the auto before my brain even processes the picture of the player or the name.

I think Dillon Howard, Dillon Maples, Gerrit Cole, Danny Hultzen, Trevor Bauer, Jose Fernandez, Javier Baez all have interesting autos.

I don't even mind Taveras' auto- its different. The only one I don't like is Carlos Martinez- an absolute mess.

I always like the refractor auto that looks best with the players' jersey. For instance, an Angels player I think looks best with a red refractor (love my Maronde red) although orange isnt bad. I like my Joc Pederson blue the best and my Cubs blue refractor autos.

You know, on the auto thing, I'm not completely sure if it's an issue of people taking more value in their signature. I mean, my own signature sucks, because I'm not a famous person who signs things for other people, and have bad handwriting. If for some reason I got famous tomorrow and people started wanting my signature, I wouldn't change it, I'd just keep writing it like I always have.

The people who have nice signatures might have had nice signatures their whole life. The ones with ones that suck might have signed like that their whole life as well. I know there are people who probably spruced theirs up after people wanted it, and people who stopped caring cause they sign so much, but I can't really get upset with someone for not signing well.

I was pretty bummed when he signed a ball and bat for my earlier this yeat and it was just JBJ. But I think that's just his on-the-fly auto. I would imagine when he's able to sit down and do them, he will go back to his full name.

Man thats a nice card.

I think too many things go into the autograph to pinpoint why some are better than others.

Time, pen used, space or box on the card or sticker that is provided. Those are besides how the athlete has signed their names for years!

Someone mentioned Sandberg for instance and that his autos have been kinda lookign like shiate lately.
Take a look at the Tier One Rookie Reprint clear autos. How is he ever going to get a nice signature onto that card?
If I recall the Museum autos were signed in a thick silver sharpies and kind of looked crowded. Maybe had they used a slimmer point pen they would have looked better.

I'm looking to sell my 2009 Mike Trout Bowman Chrome Rookies. I have 3. Two are Refractors /500 BGS 9.5 and one is a Blue Refractor /125 BGS 9.0 ... They're not cheap but if you are serious and willing to spend $800+ please PM me. Cards should be in my bucket.

How can that card get a 10 *pristine* for a centering grade? Look at the centering on the back.. It is visably off left to right. I send in cards like that and get an 8.5 or 9 for centering.. bgs is so damn rigged !!!

Serious question. What does that card end up selling for? 8-10k?

A 10 centering is achieved by hitting 50/50 on the front (seems to be true in this case), and 60/40 on the back (also seems true in this case).
