How many 1/1 cards did you pull in your best year?

I was just curious how many 1/1 cards you guys pulled during your hottest year? When I was busting a lot of boxes in 2010, I pulled 3 1/1 cards. Haven't pulled any since but I stopped buying Topps after 2011 Bowman came out so haven't bought much new stuff at all.

In 2010 I pulled:

*2007 Bowman Draft Beau Mills Auto Superfractor -sold on eBay for $350 or so

*2010 Bowman Austin Jackson RC Printing Plate 1/1 -forget the color, sold for over $100 on eBay

*2010 Topps Chrome Freddy Sanchez Superfractor -sold on eBay after World Series for $180-200 something I think

Also has anyone ever pulled a 1/1 of someone you actually collect hardcore? Man, that would be the best feeling in the world I think.

I started collecting again in 2009 after taking a 10-15 year break. After a while I was busting boxes and always losing money. Topps gave me the Customer Service cold shoulder over a few problems I had and I still refuse to pay those buffoons money to buy their products. Being a super collector of one guy, and even more specific I only really buy Jason Heyward Rookie-AFLAC-Prospect cards, I'm able to be picky about things now.

To date the most 1/1's I've been able to pull in a single year is two.

Last year, 2011, I pulled these:
*2011 Bowman Chrome Ryan Pressly Superfractor
*2011 Topps Marquee Red 1/1 Troy Tulowitzki

Both out of the only box of their respective products I bought (I'm too cash strapped to buy more than one hobby box per product).
And I've never been able to hit a 1/1 of a guy I PC but I did get one via trade which was pretty sweet, especially considering what I gave up for it.

I pulled 2 superfractors in one night - twice, but they were both group breaks.

Woah houdini, that is some crazy good luck. Its always nice when you see that bright metallic card that isn't quite gold peeking out from the pack. Then you look closer and see the swirls and the 1/1.. I never hit any huge names, and only 1 of the 1/1 cards I pulled were autos. It was a great looking auto too, on card. The problem was the guy who was on the card lol

The Beau Mills Superfractor auto 1/1. I lucked out on selling it for what I got because he was already bottoming out in 2010, and I felt like I had to move it ASAP -before he got cut or traded- because I knew it was going to happen the way he played. I put it up once for $500 OBO and had it listed for almost a month before I got a $300 or $350 offer. I figured it was that or nothing, and sure enough he got arrested right after I sold it.

If someone pulled the Beau Mills superfractor in 2007, someone would have wasted WAY too much money on it. An almost criminal amount of money. This guy was really hyped up back then and had a lot of potential. Kinda glad nobody wasted that much on this card and I pulled it a few years later after he was already sputtering out.

In 2007 Beau Mills was drafted #13 overall by the Cleveland Indians and Jason Heyward was drafted next at #14. Mills could've been a good player back then but he's a bust now, Cleveland gave up and traded him to the Reds. If someone pulled that card today, you'd be lucky to get $50 if not less. The guy is always getting in trouble and plays terribly I don't see him ever making it. I bought the box on eBay, tried to get a Heyward/Gilmore Head of the Class auto but I ended up just buying a base and refractor in the end. Jon Gilmore is a similar story to Mills, never did much of anything. Glad his auto is small on my cards, dude has a huge signature.

The Sanchez was put up on eBay the night the Giants won the series, got a lot more than I would've if I waited to sell that one too.

Nobody was bidding on the Austin Jackson printing plate the first few times I ran it through, so I lowered the price to $100. It was a nice card, better than a lot of guys I could've pulled, but wasn't signed. It might have been yellow

I have been pretty lucky for how little I break... seem to pull two or three a year. (Most via online breakers)

1. Duke Snider 1/1 Topps Triple Threads Wood Card Gu Bats

That was a great card. One of the few cards I have owned that I actually regret selling. Usually its easy come easy go. Thanks go to TheTruth17 for pulling that one.

2. Chris from hobbybox pulled me a black parrallel auto out of totally certified basketball right as that products was going crazy. Sold for $400 off ebay never looked back (obviously if I don't remember the kids name lol)

3. Dustin Pedroia UD black 1/1 printing plate auto

I don't remember all of them, but in 2010 I pulled 10 1/1s, and in 2011 I pulled 8 1/1s. So far this year I've pulled 6.

In 2010, pulled 2 1/1 from 4 topps supreme FB boxes, and 1 printing plate from 2 star wars galaxy boxes..

Last month, pulled 1 printing plate from 3 2012 topps chrome BB boxes and 1 printing plate from 3 2011 BDP boxes...

but nothing huge

I don't even want it to be a good one, I want it to be a PC player/team or someone nobody cares about because I already know I want to keep my first 1/1 that I pull personally, so I don't want it to be one that I'll be too tempted to sell.

I've pulled 2 superfractors (Jon Lester from 2011 Topps Chrome, Jose Reyes from 2012 Topps Chrome), one red 1/1 from Pro Debut (I think it was Pro Debut), and about a dozen printing plates, the best one being a Bryce Harper black auto plate from 2011 Heritage Minor League. There was a stretch of a couple of months where it seemed like I pulled a printing plate every time I got a couple of boxes from the LCS. Usually they were no-namers, but once in a while a cool one would pop up, like a Mickey Mantle plate from 2012 Gypsy Queen.

Last year I think I pulled 4 but 3 were A&G plates. Juan Pierre, Chris Carpenter, someone else. One was a TTT White Whale (Maybin 2008 TTT from Black Thursday).

Pulled a Wainwright A&G plate this year on release day so 5 over a 12 month period is probably my best "year."

2005 was a great time to get 1/1's

I pulled several out of DK, UD, Fleer..
A couple of Sweet Spot 1/1's, Fleer Genuine Insider 1/1 Jeff Bagwell Masterpiece Mini, Ernie Banks UD Refelections, Randy Johnson MLB Logo from Leaf Collections, Leaf Certified Rafael Palmeiro Patch Auto 1/1..(sold a day before the steroids announcement!!)

There were so many 1/1's getting pulled back then, they got watered down and 1/1's became just another card.. Heck even my wife pulled a 1/1, but her's was a little better than any I got.. Roger Maris 1/1 Cut auto out of Fleer Genuine Insider!

I miss 2005 rips.. they were so fun..

My wife and I at a pack opening at our LCS a couple years ago pulled two printing plates out of the same pack of 2009 Topps Chrome I believe. No one huge, Andy Sonnanstine and Michael Bowden, but still pretty cool.
