Default Opinion on eBay shilling

Please if I'm wrong let me know. Seller name is 2006arerio. There is a bidder by the name of e***e who has 100 bids on sellers items. Am I off on this? I reported all auction to eBay but nothing was done. This has been going on for months and months as I follow an item then he shills and relist it.

Thanks

Links. You have to provide links. If you want help, why make it difficult to help you?

Is the seller a shiller? Yes, 100%. Is that his shilling account? Yes, 100%.

The shiller: http://feedback.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewFeedback2&userid=2006erario&ftab=AllFeedback

The actual shilling account: eBay Feedback Profile for salsa12joseph

How long does it take ebay to get involved and remove the users bids? If it's a rare card and you really want it, but it's clear that it's being screwed with should you just stay away from it?

Default Thank you

First I want to say sorry for no links. Second, thank you just wanted to make sure I was not crazy. I have reported his items several times but nothing was done. I called eBay today and explained everything, they put me on hold then I was disconnected. Not sure if eBay will take care if it now? But his actions are still up. I feel like a grumpy old man complaining!! I should just ignore him!

Thanks again

And if there is no way for ebay to prove it will stay. Do you expect ebay just to take everyone's word for it?

Default I'm not wrong

I know I'm not wrong, maybe eBay just needs it to be more blatant.

No, it is shilling and it is blatant, but eBay doesn't respond to every report immediately.

They might not even look at these until Wednesday or next week or never.

Avoid shill bidding issues by bidding with 5 seconds left. Throw in your best bid and there it is. Shill bidding is there, been there, and will always be there. Don't lose sleep over it.

I've said this 100 times...

If eBay got rid of the you bid $10, but because the other guy only bid $2.. you're bid is only at 2.50 BS... shilling would not exist.

If you bid on something.. that should be your bid.. should it not? If I bid $5 on something.. I'm willing to pay $5.. if I want to win it for 2.75.. I would have bid that amount.

Just my 2 cents and eBay seller frustration rant lol

Not sure why you think that would eliminate shilling.
Sellers with no integrity could and would still place fake bids.

IMO 99.99% of the real bidders would not bid at all in that format
until there is 5 seconds left. Which could end up being counterproductive to the seller.

Its an auction, if a seller wants to ensure higher price
all they have to do is set a higher minimum start bid or use BIN.

Shill bidding isnt only about getting "the right price" from an underperforming auction.
Its about creating the illusion of demand to trick the less informed legitimate buyers
into bidding more than an item is worth as a result of the perceived demand.
