David Wright. Followed his entire career since he got drafted, and is obviously the face of the franchise.

José Bautista because I love the idea of a late bloomer persevering through a system designed to filter people out as quickly as possible only to flourish beyond everyone’s expectations. I have also read a ton of interviews he has done, and he always strikes me as extremely thoughtful and self-aware.
My second favorite is Robinson Canó.

By this response I am guessing you were never old enough to actually see him play. The guy played every single day like it was a game changing out or at bat. He hustled down the line on routine ground outs, had enthuisiasm, and never quite. I wish todays players would take not of how Rose approached the game. I really miss hard nosed players like Rose.

Anyways this thread is about favorite players, not who should win MVP.

You said 2012 MVP Buster Posey. Then I said I fixed it for you to read 2012 MVP Ryan Braun
![]() Quote:
Then you started taking shots at Braun. Braun is having a better year then Posey or anyone in the NL. Who plays for the better team, and who is most likely going to win MVP since their team made the playoffs? Posey. If Brewers were a playoff team Braun would win with ease.Anyways this whole "debate" is really stupid. In the end Posey will win MVP...

Retired = Dwight Gooden
Current = Albert Pujols There are several players of vintage era I like a lot, and if I had the chance to watch them play I may have chosen them, but I find it difficult to have a favorite based on something less than actually being around to see them play... |
