Back to the Tigers....

They need to go out and sign the best fielding shortstop that they can find to help shore up their embarrassing defense. I cannot wait until Delmon Young is gone.
100% right on all counts.
Edit: I could handle Delmon in a platoon role.

I see the Tigers going and getting Scutaro, he will most likely be the best SS available

Anyone think Tampa or Baltimore will give him a shot?

Peralta's under contract for another year. I'll bet they stick with him...

After the giants get swept tonight, they will hopefully go out and way overpay for hamilton, or get rid of some of their pitchers for him. Then he will suck it at att.

White Sox are waaay too cheap but he'd do well there....as long as he avoids the city that never sleeps.

Baltimore def has the money to do it, but they might not want to ruin the chemistry they have created. They might feel they already score enough runs so pitching might be something they look at over a huge contract commitment for hitting.

He goes to the Angels. The rest is history. Or Cardinals if Berkman comes back, they are buddies.

Angels have no room in the OF for him if they resign Hunter, plus they are gonna cut $$ to sign Greinke, so I doubt he goes to LAA.

Atlanta may make a push for him to replace Chippers bat. If we resign Bourne, we can put Hamilton in left, makes him less vulnerable to injury and move Prado back to third, which his his best position. That would make for a pretty sweat lineup, less having 3-4 lefties straight in the lineup.

Bourne - CF
Prado - 3B
Heyward - RF
Hamilton - LF
Freeman - 1B
McCann - C
Uggla - 2B
Simmons - SS

McCann may be the odd man out after this year too. I think he is either a free agent this off-season or after next. Now to shore up the starting rotation to the right 5 and lets make a push. the bullpen is lights out!

I dont know how you can say this with so much certainty. I hope you are right, but I would be shocked if the Red Sox did not kick the tires on this, especially after shedding all that money and needing a power bat anyhow. Plus you know how they love to make a splash, and spend $$$.

Tigers, write that down.

And he should play LF not RF but I am not sure Berry can play RF.

Infante is a joke as a 2 hitter and I personally believe a smart Manager (eliminate Leyland) would hit Miggy 2nd and Hamilton 3rd.

CF - Jackson
3B - Muggy
RF - Hamilton
1B - Fielder
DH - Garcia
SS - Peralta
LF - Berry
C - Avila
2B - Infante

Would be wise to get rid of Peralta and Infante and grab a few dudes that can get one base for the mashers.

Dumping Dirks a .320+ hitter for Berry a probable .250 hitter? Nah. I like Berry a lot but Dirks is much more consistent. And say no to Hamilton anyway. Just what Cabbie doesn't need. A drinking buddy. Martinez comes back healthy and Detroit has more than enough power.

If they can sell a few more Sun Times subscriptions, the White Sox could fill a very large offensive gap with him.

Sounds like Milwaukee might be making a play? Brewers seriously thinking about making a play for Josh Hamilton - CBSSports.com
