Default Most AMAZING couple of months of IP Autos- Dream come true!!!

Hello everyone.

Apologies in advance for the long read.

I have been a member on these boards for awhile and enjoy reading great stories. I have been blessed to play baseball in college (way back when) and know the right people still playing or associated with MLB teams. The last couple of months have been absolutely insane for me. What started out as a great opportunity to meet the best players in the game turned into upgrading my personal collection of autographed memorabilia.

In total I have obtained 54 autographed baseballs and 3 jerseys. Here is a list of the baseballs:

(not pictured are the most recent...Williams, Upton, Chapman, Morgan and Votto)

Yu Darvish
Ian Kinsler
Ryan Ludwick
David Wright x2
Don Mattingly
Clayton Kershaw
Matt Kemp
Matt Harvey
R.A. Dickey
Jason Bay
Albert Pujols
Mike Trout
CJ Wilson
Carlos Gonzalez x2
Troy Tulowitzki
Stephen Strasburg
Bryce Harper
Ryan Zimmerman
Gio Gonzalez
Dan Uggla
Craig Kimbrel
Jason Heyward x2
Brian McCann
Tim Hudson
Freddie Freeman
Michael Bourn
Matt Kemp All-Star Ball
Bobby Abreu
Shane Victorino
Adrian Gonzalez
Josh Beckett
Andre Ethier
Wilan Rosario
Carney Lansford
Buster Posey
Tim Lincecum
Matt Cain
Miguel Montero
Justin Upton
Matt Williams
Joey Votto
Joe Morgan
Aroldis Chapman

I have also helped get some baseballs signed for my friends who are huge fans of certain players/teams. Those are:
John Miller HOF
Madison Bumgarner
Aubrey Huff
Ramon Ramirez
Bryce Harper (all 5 of these for my brother in law)
Ike Davis for a Mets fan
Troy Tulowitzki for a Tulo fan
Madison Bumgarner for a Giants fan
Don Mattingly for a Donnie baseball fan

I also got 3 MLB jerseys signed which are in the process of getting framed as we speak. They are:

Tim Lincecum

Clayton Kershaw All Star Jersey
CHIPPER JONES

Quite an impressive haul if I do say so myself. I can honestly say it has been one of the best experiences of my life meeting some of my favorite players. About 97% of them were awesome in person. The only exceptions would be Strasburg, Hanley (which I didn't get) and Juan Uribe (who also turned me down).

Some of the nicest players I met were the entire Giants team (just so happens to be my favorite team), Chipper, David Wright, Kershaw, Kemp, Jason Heyward (and most of the Braves), A-Gon, Matt Williams, Tulo and Harper.

And here is one of my prize possessions. Only people I am missing are Blanco, Affeldt, Casilla and Bochy.

I just want people to know that it pays to be nice to people, never burn bridges with anyone and always pay it forward. This experience would not have been possible without all of the great friends I have met in my life.

Hope you guys enjoy the read!!

Very cool! Within the last year I started collectiong OMLB autographs....one per person and try to get them on the sweet spot with blue pen! I've been able to get some decent players this year on a ball....all in person....George Brett, Eric Hosmer, Mike Moustakas, Joe Carter, Derek Jeter, Frank Robinson, Rollie Fingers, Gaylord Perry, Fergie Jenkins, Bubba Starling, Johnny Bench, and a few others....I can say it's a blast collecting these!!

Congrats on your collection, very impressive! I would love to get a Mike Trout or Jason Heyward on a ball, and that Chipper Jones jersey is SWEET!!!

That's awesome! I'm soooo jealous!

I personally love the feeling of getting a big name MLB player to SS a baseball....maybe even more than pulling a big card from a pack. Even though the whole experience lasts a few seconds, you still come away feeling like you have some sort of connection with that player.

Very nice!! I once had a collection like that, I got a lot of stars one summer, I got greedy and sold lol, I advise you not to sell! Thats like a once in a lifetime couple months! Harper must have had a good day, I hears he was not too nice to people, of course I can't say first hand

Adrian Gonzalez is probably the nicest star in baseball! Usually after guys get good they start to stiff people here and there (or totally stiff lol) but he's always good about signing

Absolutely stunning collection -- thanks for sharing! It's great to hear you had awesome experiences with so many of these guys. I love hearing about the stars that are down-to-earth and always have time for the fans.

Great pictures, BTW!

It has been an amazing experience. And the best part is the story that comes along with meeting each player and getting their autograph on a brand new OMLB.

Harper was super nice even though I have also heard he can be difficult to deal with. I could only imagine how many times he gets asked for an auto so I was happy that he was cool about it.

Strasburg was just not willing to sign at all. It was either his GF or wife that ended up talking him into it. But he didn't make eye contact or recorgnize the huge "Thank you" I gave him. It is what it is.

The best is getting the auto on the sweet spot. Only Pujols, Timmy, Cain, Montero and Upton signed on the panel but meeting them made it all worth it.

Thanks for all the comments everyone!!!

Bums me out that he was a jerk... Changes my opinion of him a bit then aagain maybe he was having a bad day or something

As for the panel signing, i always wanted to think that maybe players do that to make sure you dont sell it lol. since it is a premium to be signed on the sweet spot

where did you play in college?
