I haven't followed the Yankees at all this season, but has he really been THAT bad that you bench one of the best players of this generation in an elimination game?

Full disclosure, I hate ARod, but this seems like a pretty drastic move for a player with his ability and career

Horrible decision. Granderson has been even worse. Should have benched granderson and put ibanez in left and ichiro in center.

Kinda agree. It's not like he's totally hitless. However, I hate him so it's all good. Granderson is like Dunn. Out of the park or out at the plate.

A Rod only has 5 year and over 110 million left on his contract. Now I'll have to hear Yankees fans scream for him to be traded/cut over the next 5 years.

Yankee fans just dont get that you paid all of that money to get those great first years including a 2009 WS title, that AROD pretty much carried them to. Now you are stuck with the payroll eater for the last half of his contract.

Arod looks lost right now. At least we know what to expect with the Grandy - Man like Tuga said.. go big or go home. A-Rod is like a blind mouse looking for a piece of cheese. I'd put Nix at third.

Why does everyone hate A-Rod so much? Is it only because of the steroids? Because I personally don't find that good enough of a reason to hate someone as much as everyone else does. Maybe I'm missing something else being away from following baseball for as long as I was.

I think it's just the Roids + painted by the media as a jerk. Same thing with Bonds. I don't see a bunch of Andy Pettitte haters coming out of the woodwork...

Well media influence or not, to me he just strikes me as an #@#@#@#@#@#@#@. Some of the things that he has done in game, like calling the fielder off when he was running the bases or trying to smack the ball out of the fielders glove. Stuff like that speaks volumes.
