Jesus, this is embarrassing. But, it is a trend I have noticed since the new stadium was build. In 2007 and before, almost every game had at least 40,000 fans. Then, with the new stadium (I think the prices of seats mainly), even big regular season games now don't get 50k (even weekend games in the old stadium against the lowly Inidians would get 50,000+).
Throw in the cold weather, and awkward start time, you get this terrible crowd.

No excuses for a game like this. Leave work early, like 3 hrs early if you have to. C'mon.

If there was a series deciding game in Detroit at any time, 1:00, 5:00, midnight even, it would be 95% filled before the first pitch

Great season O's, you made the last month exciting baseball for Yankee fans. Hopefully you bring the pressure again next year. It makes for great baseball.

Great series and way too close for my liking...the O's -- somehow, someway -- were a great team this year. I can't say I enjoy the extra company atop the AL East, but I guess the game is better with fewer cupcakes

Looking forward to seeing what Baltimore does next year! Machado is a STUD!!

I'm really amazed at the great pitching we've been getting. Nearly every pitching performance in the post season so far has been way above my expectations

It's just so ironic how there were so many question marks surrounding the starting rotation the whole year and what happens? Everyone is DEALING! And the offense, of course, which no one seemed to worry about...heh

You were of course facing an opponent who until very recently had cumulitively scored fewer runs than their opponents.

Baltimore scored 712 runs this year. Oakland scored 713. Any points you make about our pitchers keeping their offense down can also be made about yours.

Yes, but they had a seemingly infinite supply of luck on their side and the Yankees offense wasn't (and still isn't) one that could immediatly pounce on their pitchers.
The main thing is that no one ever expected the Yankees' pitchers to keep them in the game, but that's exactly what they did for almost all of the ALDS.
