Just wondering if any members were going to the Shriners Card Show in Wilmington, Massachusetts.
I am thinking about going, I have gone in past years, but the list of signers seems to be lacking compared to previous events. Does anyone know who to contact about possibly setting up a table? I know it is probably way to late, but I remember that the show is rarely full, and I have no doubt that they could fit one more in. Thanks! |

I'm on the fence about going... Its usually a vintage museum and there isn't much for modern cards or bargain bins to flip through. my player collection is so focused its more of an admission donation and the experience than actually scoring a PC card.

The spring show is not run by the same people as this show. The show is sold out, and I have put myself on the short list of replacements, I'd suggest you do the same.
Contracts for tables are sent out around August every year, so if you want a table, you should contact the organizers before then. If anyone needs that info, PM me.

I miss this show. I went every year when I lived in NH. Good times. Is the older guy from Canada still there? He had just about every single imaginable. I used to go just to get sets filled from this guy. I think his business name was "Strictly Singles" or something like that.
Now if I search that name, all I get is porn and dating services

I am setting up at this show, and there is a huge list of people in line for a table, its sold out and from what I hear it should be a really great show. The whole room should be filled.

I will be set up as well, and from what I know, the tables are sold out.
Don't confuse the November show with the craptacular that is put on in the spring. That spring show is awful, the room is light, and that is the one Russell signs at. This show in November is the BEST show in New England. I'll have modern stuff, including bargain boxes, for people to flip through. Will also have "junk wax" for sale, and possibly sets (if I can get them organized). Hope to see some people there!!! |

Hi everyone,
This is the 27th annual GBSCC show, which is NOT related to the spring show. Tables are completely sold out. The auto guests are arranged by sureshotpromotions.com. They do not have Bill Russel, that is the spring show promoter. Lots of on line traders are attending. It is the premier show in NE and has been for a long time. If someone wants to put together a meet up, I am sure something could be arranged. Please be sure to stop by bigpop's table. He is a great guy with some really nice stuff. Be sure to introduce yourself so that he knows which board you are from. If anyone needs more info, here are the links: 2009 convention - I know it says 2009, but it is the 2012 file. http://sureshotpromotions.com/upload...w%202012_8.pdf And, I will be there all weekend searching those quarter boxes and junk wax looking for set needs. Hopefully we will see a lot of you there as well.

I'll be making the trip from the 'Cuse. This show last year was awesome. The show floor was full, there were several dealers with cheap cert auto bins, and I got to add Dwight Evans and Calvin Schiraldi to my signed 1985 Fleer set (Evans thought it was a cool project, while Schiraldi thought it was nuts [in a good way] that someone would try to complete a signed set like that).

Is anyone worried that some dealers might not show up because of the aftermath of the hurricane? I guess it depends on where they're traveling from (and whether or not they can afford to eat the cost of having reserved tables). I heard Leaf already pulled out.
