MLB playoffs 2012 -- New York Yankees tickets still for sale day of ALCS Game 2 - ESPN New York

Why are the Yankees surprised???? They just HAD to have a billion dollar stadium and they can't figure out why people are not coming to the games? $131 for the worst seat in the house????? Christ....

I may be sitting in the hood, but 120.00 a seat got me in row 8 of this section for Verlander on Tuesday.

Well, considering your best player is out, and the fact that A-Roid's about as useful as ice to an Eskimo, the Yankee fans see no need to spend money to watch their team lose.

even with Jeter out, this team still has more talent than Detroit (no slam on the tigers) Cano, , half an A-rod, Ichiro, Tex, Granderson----overall, still better.

Battingwise I don't disagree. Starting pitchingwise I'd give the tigs the edge.

That was my point...with New York's ridiculous prices plus the MLB mark up...who the hell can afford to go to a game there???

. I've been bartending in CT for 15 years and people just aren't as into it as they were in the past. 2000-2005 place was rocking, especially yanks/sox, but now with crap economy, hd tvs, and the Yankees in the playoffs every year the juice just isn't there.
