There are a bunch on ebay. They are posted within the baseball card section and I have come across them a few times....asking a crazy amount of money.

It was never my intention to profit in any way. I honestly wanted to make a fan site. When his family came calling, I agreed not to fight for it.

but, as a for instance, what/how would they obtain it from you if you planned on naming your firstborn child "cole hamels smith" and wanted him to have his own domain. now, that wouldn't seem right to me. it would be bush league for them to strongarm you into giving it up to the ballplayer.

The law on this may have changed, but if the non-athlete has a legitimate purpose for the website, be it a child's name or a fan site, the non-athlete cannot be forced to give it up.
