Nice, my local is The Fantastic Store. So I pretty much get it at BO prices or no more than $5.00 above BO.

Is this incredibly high priced, or is this normal for an LCS in order for them to stay in business?
Noticed you're in Titusville, You planning on going to the card show in Rockledge next Saturday?

Well since my LCS is 1.5-2 hours away I don't get there that often, but I did clean him out of 2011 Finest in 2 trips. Bought a full box at $99.95+ tax, and then his last sealed mini box at $54.95+ tax

Mine is also. But I haven't bought a hobby box in a month or so, I'm cutting down on those and buying singles

My LCS is pretty much the only show in town so the prices are usually on the higher side. Not outrageous, but high enough to turn me off from buying certain boxes there.

MY LCS has been in the business for over 20 years, he prices his boxes 10-20 more which is no big deal for me cause I support small business and I like the pay cash>card. And his prices has tax included so the 8% tax is covered. 2012 BC is $75ish tax included.

Mine, actually sells kinda cheap. If I get a few boxes, they are a couple bucks less than BO or CardInfinity.

I don't follow baseball prices, but the LCS here is ridiculously high on Football, UFC and WWE when compared to online prices. The craziest part is that he constantly sells out of product, so more power to him.

Compared to online retailers like Blowout: Yes
Compared to my LCS back in the states: (Surprisingly) No

Despite the fact that MLB card boxes (as well as NBA & NFL cards) are imported goods I can get them for pretty much the same, if not lower, price that they would've cost me at my LCS back in the US but it's still a few bucks above Blowout prices.
Although occasionally the card shop that's closest to my apartment occasionally sells leftover boxes at 5% off and brings the price into the same ballpark as blowout.
Plus I have a members card for that shop that'll enable me to have a discount should I feel like using my credits.

Mine had them for $75 per box, I got a slight discount. He is usually very fair at release, but then too expensive one he restocks (something about additional stocking fees).

My LCS only gets new boxes that collectors pre-buy...BUT has great prices on top loaders and such...the OTHER LCS also sells coins which is their money maker and still prices a box of 2012 Topps Jumbo Box @ $100+ I believe...you buy more things he gives you a small discount. I like supporting local though so I but things like Beckets and supplies from them. I'll only buy a box from them if I'm itching though.

Mine usually has about a 20-30% markup but tax is included (9%) so it's not so bad. And he sometimes prices to sell, recently got a 2011 Update hobby box for $50.

It also varies a lot by product. On release 2012 A&G was high, $95/box, 2012 Arhives was OK, $75. The problem is he closes at 6pm on weekdays and I can't get up there before he closes. So even if I reserve new releases I can't pick up until the weekend.

I don't think it should be expected, but if they do it, more power to them.

LCS mostly buy on the secondary market, meanign they buy from BtoB or from places like Southern hobby
When a product, like this release, is at 62.00 wholesale they usually also eat shipping. On a case it would add another 3.00/box,so 65.00
Then you have to factor in rent, etc, etc.
My LCS charges 79.00/box to average Joe and 72.00 to regulars
People do nto want to help cover rent and the bills, but they want the cheap prices... just buy online until your LCS goes out of business, then problem solved
