Well, it seems the seller has righted his wrongs and pulled the listings that had shilling going on and re-listed them.

He also refunded me half the price of the card I purchased from him.

In his message to me, he said that it was his sister that went behind his back and put up those shilled bids. I find that hard to believe but he did the right thing by re-listing those tainted auctions and refunding half my money.

I guess we can consider this case closed...for now

Glad to hear it worked out for you. Wonder how long he stays straight?

Doesn't eBay take a percentage of the amount of the auction? Other than retaining buyers, which at this point they are so large that's not really an issue, what impetus do they have to REALLY fix this? They make more money when sellers shill and get away with it.

All eBay has to do is look like they are making a reasonable effort to stop it, not actually stop it.

If a shiller wins the seller/ shill mutually agree to cancel the transaction so the only fee is the listing fee.

Apparently this guy's 'sister' has two shilling accounts. Looking at a few closed items here is another shiller id: s***a( 9 ) And surprise surprise....when you look at the bid history the person has bid on 3 items and they have all been with this particular seller. What an odd coincidence. Well we could give them the benefit of the doubt, maybe s***a( 9 ) isn't his sister's account, maybe it is his cousin who is also 'accidently' bidding on his items to
