Default Ugliest Sports injury you have ever seen.

I am old enough and had the displeasure to see all of these injuries happen live on TV. These are only 5 instances that I turned my head away from the TV on purpose because I was squeamish.

None of them are pleasant (obviously), but my vote goes to Jason Kendall.

What's your vote?

PS - PLEASE do NOT post links to any of these injuries (or others).

Shaun Livingston, although the Marcus Lattimore injury recently is up there as well.

Sid Vicious breaking his leg jumping into the ring was pretty gruesome.

Clint Malarchuk...if this isn't number one on everyone's list then something is wrong.

Who was the Colts player last year that broke his leg when one of his own teammates fell on it and rolled over it? That was gruesome, but my vote goes to Marcus. That leg just came flying through the air completely limp.

Tyler Colvin. It wasnt really gross or anything, But when he took that broken bat to the chest, his life was in major danger, and everyone at the game was in silence for basically the entire rest of the game.

Of injuries I've seen on LIVE TV as they occurred,
Mike Utley - offensive lineman for the Detroit Lions stands out as having affected me the most.
neck injury, paralyzed and just KNEW that was going to be the outcome.

I just didn't want the thread to turn into a gore-fest of pics and videos.

That's like asking which actress has the best ass but specifying no pictures...

It's pretty crazy how some of you don't mind seeing someone's jugular being slashed open and blood gushing all over the place...

The Eric LeGrand hit was the scariest injury I have seen live (on TV). I was stunned, thinking to myself "This guy isn't getting up....this is serious."

My brother played D2 lacrosse at Dowlong Universtiy and won the National Championship this May, but earlier in the year, a midfielder on a team from some South Carolina tore his ACL and when it happened, everybody screamed "oohh." They tried to cover up his screams with the stadium music. It was pretty scary.
