I'd say the Cubs did pretty well there.

I like the move but it's not like Haren's coming off a career year.

Here's the hoping he can "bounce" back in 2013 after a mediocre 2012.

Now there is no way Angels don't try to sign Grinke. They have Weaver, Wilson, and who? Richards? Jerome Williams?

True, but to the same note, hes going to the weaker hitting league IMO, just look at dempster from last year. ERA leader in the NL, sucked in the AL. They have the Big bats in the junior circut.

I will take the trade and hope the Cubs flip Haren like they did to Maholm at the deadline.

Five of the last seven World Series winners came from the NL. Who cares what league is better at hitting?

I dont mean to be rude, but outside of last year he has been great. 3.17 ERA in '11, 2.87 the year before. Thats not too shabby.

Ok...then if we are going to make comparisons to pitching in the AL/NL then let's make this comparison..

Haren has been pitching in Oakland, Seattle, and LA for over 50% of his games since he has been is OC...

He was Great with ARI just a few years ago, and never played for seattle. Hes played 5.5 Al seasons to 4.5 NL seasons, so he hasnt really pitched in one league dominantly, and he made 2 ASG in the NL, so we know he can pitch in the NL. Hes also hit over .230 in his career, which is great for a pitcher.

Oh ok, well still, I dont really see his point. Who cares who hes pitched against?? I couldnt understand the second half of the second sentence, so I thought he meant what team he played for.

Oy vey...SafeCo, The Big A, and Al Davis' Museum are not exactly bandboxes...in other words...it's not who he has pitched against...it's where.

All I can say is WTF are the Angels doing here? I mean I understand they want to dump salary and need a closer, but how about going after Soriano and not nasty Marmol!

Whatever, just wait. Hes a good pitcher and will prove that this year by taking home a 15-10 record with a 3.20 Era at worst. My boys arent going to win many games, but some of the ones they do, I think he will have a lot to do with.
