Hello everyone! I'm new to the forum, but I've been shopping Blowout cards and reading through the forums for a few months now...anywho, about a month or so ago I pulled a Tommy Joseph Superfractor (my first one, yay!) from a box of 2012 Bowman and I also pulled a Eric Hosmer 2011 Bowman Chrome Gold Auto (both boxes came from Blowout
)...anyways, I've been sitting on them for a while and I don't know how much I should try to sell them or if I should get them graded. I fear the ship has sailed on the Hosmer, but who knows. As far as the Tommy Joseph goes, I tried to contact the person that had the Auto Superfractor through eBay to get advice with no success. Any advice would be GREATLY appreciated. I will try to get scans up as soon as I can.P.S. if anyone is interested, let me know! Thanks! |

How do you come up with a value for a superfractor 1/1 of a player with few cards like Joseph?

Good question, that's where I'm lost...haven't really pulled a lot of high value (I guess you could consider this that when the only other low numbered pull I've had is a Mike Leake 2/5).
Edit: That's why I was thinking of holding onto the Joseph, he was at the All Star futures game and he will be playing in some futures game that is coming around the corner...can't find the info for it, but I recall seeing it on my bleacher report app Last edited by foxmulder1984; 11-03-2012 at 12:06 AM. |

I don't know what common superfractors go for, but i would expect it to go higher than that, but not nearly as high as the known prospects.

That's a sick Hosmer! IMO you should hold onto it and hope he bounces back next year.

If you sell it now maybe you sell yourself short if he hits it big. If he ends up being a bust, you have a worthless 1/1. I pulled the Jason Jaramillo RC AU Superfractor from 2009 Topps chrome. To date his biggest accomplishment is striking out twice in Strasburgs debut.

Barob, pm me and I will get back to you (I'm guessing its about the Hosmer
)That is the conundrum I face with the Joseph, whether to hold onto it or not...I guess the best option I have is to do research on previous selling points of his other stuff. I could see Tommy getting called up within the next year or two with Carlos Ruiz getting up there in age. Thanks for providing me that info about the purple auto chromerookies
