I was just wondering if SCD is worth subscribing to? I predominantly collect baseball and football cards and I am not much into memorabilia at all. Are there good interesting reads in SCD that would make it worth subscribing to?

I LOVE SCD! I find it one of the most insightful resources in our hobby and business. To buy it off the newstand is crazy price wise(ends up being over $90 on the year, but the subscriptions are great. Try to find a deal under $70 bucks. Just my opinion. Thanks...

You can get it on Amazon for $26 for 26 Issues. Hard to beat that price.
Did Ebay ban the selling of magazine subscriptions? I remember looking a couple of years ago and there use to be a ton of them. I know the market for print material sucks but still...

I love SCD. It's one of the few pieces of mail I look forward to.

It's pretty thin now...but there is usually a good article or two. I subscribed at the National for $15. Don't know if they have other deals running now.

Back in the late 80s, it was a thick magazine and had a ton of ads. Before ebay, it was one of the few places you could go in order to find cards to buy.
I miss it, but it's not the same anymore.

I subscribed to it in the late 90's and it had first pricing on some products between Beckett magazines and it was the main place to buy cards and boxes before ebay. Cancelled because it took too long for USPS to deliver the issues and the issues got thinner. One time I got 2 issues in 3 days and then it took 16 days for the next one.

Also SCD has been doing quite a bit better in terms of issues arriving on a relatively consistent basis since they went from weekly to biweekly.
