A couple other Red Sox updates
1. Zack Stewart was traded to the Pirates for a PTBNL
2. Danny Valencia was sent to the O's for cash considerations
3. Sandy Rosario was sent to the A's for a PTBNL or cash considerations

Red Sox and other teams, have until midnight tonight to determine the fate of arbitration-eligible players.

Sounds like I am beating a dead horse, but I need to do it:

Bryce Brentz NOT the #1 prospect for Baseball Prospectus's Red Sox Top 10

He wasnt 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 either

He was 8th.

Keith Law and Sickels to go!

hahaha, alright. Congratulations for being right?

Other news the Red Sox have informed reliever Scott Atchison that he will be non-tendered, making him a free agent.

Atchinson is a long man, every team needs one. If the Sox want De La Rosa to be that to get his strength back then I am okay with that.

Morales too.

I like Morales, I feel he is kind of "underrated/ over looked", He is a good lefty that throws high 90's that can either start or pitch in relief

I would like to see them go after Brian Wilson and Jair Jurrjens (for pitchers)
and it seems that Franklin Morales might join the starting rotation to start the year

Major? Either Napoli or Swisher, maybe a trade for a SP, but I think the days of major moves for the Sox are over for a bit

i would have to agree with no majors splash for at least two years and i really hope they don't buckle and give napoli the fourth year

I still see him playing mostly behind the plate. I think the Sox are still going to make a move at Swisher to play 1st.

I think neither of us are right, I just saw and I think it's $38 Million, not that it's any better

EDIT: it is $39 Million, it's confusing when 3 sources have 3 different answers

Agree it was too much, and yes hopefully this means Ellsbury might be on the move.
