Default Mark McGwire - New Dodgers Hitting Coach

Dodgers tab Mark McGwire as new hitting coach | dodgers.com: News

I know that the Cardinals had great hitting during his time with them so I'm hoping for similar results now that he's with the Dodgers.

I am a huge Mark McGwire fan. So Jealous.

In an unrelated note, I just saw this hypocritical comment on the link you provided. So funny.

Quote:
As a Giants fan who endured a sweep by the A's in 1989 WS, this is funny. So Mac and Canseco who should have been banned helped cheat us out of a title, but Melky couldnt help us win one. How ironic and hypocritical. Fair would have been Melky's sentenced tossed out to compensate us losing the 89 Series cuz of steriod induced monsters such as Mac and Jose. Now he is helping the Dodgers to take the West back and Melky's probably headed there at some point. Too weird.

Not a fan of Mark, Go Sammy!!!

I am glad that he gets to go home to be with his family. Family > baseball (besides he gets to keep doing what he loves anyway)

I seen this on the rumor mill about a week ago I'm happy they can't any worse than they did from August-3/4 through september. Needless to say this spring training will be 10x better than last year. The additions of Hanley, AGON, Crawford, Beckett and now McGwire will make the IP auto's fun and great additions to a PC.

I'm loving this. Big Mac was one of my favorite players as a kid. Great to see him join the Dodgers.

Mine too. The year he hit 70 I saw him hit #41 and 42 off the dodgers at old Busch. One of them was 511 feet. It was awesome, juiced or not I didn't care.

no idea but I'm seeing the Dodgers at 18-1 and Royals at 75-1. Besides their odds wouldn't really increase that much with the addition of a different hitting or pitching coach

Anyone hear the interview on the Dan Patrick show with Mark? Pretty good stuff. DP is such a great interviewer. Love his show.
