Default Mlb released award finalists for the first time ever

So, instead of announcing the winners, MLB has announced 3 finalists for each award winning catagory. What do we think about this? Has anyone else seen the list, or can someone more tech savy than me post it?

Wait ... does this mean that the votes have already been tallied, and the lists are just teasers?

I'd say that is exactly what it means. No idea why they drag it out so much. Just hand 'em out already!

Some of these the finalists are pretty ovbious choices. I think it is kind of cool in a sense that it gives some lesser known players recognition, an example is Chase Headley. I think people may be more interested in the finalists prior to the award than to see who came in 4th or 5th for MVP voting. Just my two cents.

No real surprises here...at least we don't have to hear from the Kimbrel loverboys anymore.

They want to build anticipation to get ratings for the Awards show on MLB Network, where they actually announce the winner(s).

I wish they'd just announce it so I can be angry about the AL MVP for a few days, then get over it.

I understand it to a degree, but... if they can't get Joe Public to watch the World Series, what makes MLB think anyone gives a rat's about an award show?

Yeah this is cool, never would know just how well someone like Headley did without a finalists list. Few people, myself included, would think he would be up there on an MVP list without it.

For me it's gotta be Trout, hence the being angry comment. But, the debate has been beaten to death and it looks like the old guard is going to win this year, unfortunately.
