Game used authenication

is there any services to use for this? have you used them befroe? iu have a signed game used griffey jersey that i want to get certified. but dont know who to trust out there.

how do you know your jersey is game used, if it isn't already certified?

there is a company MLB authentics, they have holograms and a database you can track each piece and see when it was used, and by whom.

did KGJ sign it as being Game used w/ a date, i see this sometimes on balls, cleats, jerseys and gloves

i don't think there is anyway to authenticate it after the fact. MLB Authentics takes the item then & there and holograms it at the game.

and i have thses pics and others from around the statidum. so shouldnt be hard to authenticate

For g/u bats, PSA is probably the best to use for authentication. For jerseys, MEARS is one of the best IMO. I've never sent in a jersey to be authenticated by MEARS, but I've owned 3 or 4 that had MEARS LOA's.

Just be sure to read about their grading scale. Without a team letter or letter from Griffey, the jersey probably won't grade higher than A5 (on a scale of A1 to A10, with A10 being the highest). Also, the jersey looks very clean, does it show any wear on it? It's possible that MEARS might find it a game issued jersey and not a game used jersey if it doesn't show any wear. Especially since it doesn't look like he played on the date he inscribed on it.

I agree with everything said here ^. MEARS is going to be your best bet.
