I thought that was a good price for the Clark....

Until I saw the condition of the edges and corners...

Unacceptable.

Yet, we will accept it.

Why wouldn't they do the Tribute-style hard cases to protect these cards, especially since they're "more high-end"?

I just cancelled my case I was going to get, no way should a high $ price point like that have cards with chipping and corner conditions like that.

Going to wait to see a break to see exactly how it is packed. Could just be this particular seller/case.

Also, I hate how he says "a RARE beauty" for every single card.

Just a guess, but I think the damage is happening before pack-out. I know on football last year they posted images of cards before pack-out and they had these problems.

I'm guessing it happens going to/from the subjects for signing.

If those 5 ebay listings constitute a "pack" of five star, then this product could be one of the more brutal a$$ whoopings of the year for sure.

I am in for two cases, and all I can hope for is that these cards were thrown away because of condition issues, and this seller went dumpster diving. If not, I am in trouble.

The print runs on the clark and vida blue are downright scary.

Now I am worried. See my previous post about adding base cards to compensate for watered down content. Booooooooo Topps.

Agree, although at least Will Clark generally sells (and as a Giants fan I would love to have).
Its the Nelson Cruz's and Rollie Fingers' that people have to worry about

I have a feeling this still will drop like a rock, especially if those edge and corner issues persist. let alone the numbers on players like Vida Blue/Rollie Fingers

there should be one more card I believe (correct me if I'm wrong). a Jumbo relic (patch, knob, plate)

we should also tweet them to star producing cards in the US instead of china. see the sig.

i have been like shawshank and written them an email a week, nearly a dozen now, stressing that creating jobs will diversify and multiply their US customer base. as well as create quite a few jobs that are needed.

I also purchased a case and a little worried about the quality control issues described in the thread.

Does anyone know if Topps exchanges damaged cards? I would think they should for high-end products but may be wrong. I did exchange a Bowman Harper RC once because of a small crease without a problem.
