Travis Harrison thoughts

I recently stumbled across a nice lot of Travis Harrison autos including his leaf metal draft superfractor auto 1/1. I put in a bid and surprisingly won it for a great price.

Harrison is one of the few guys from 2011 BDPP that I don't know too much about. Anyone care to share their thoughts on him? Thanks!

Low Risk High Reward IMO. His stuff has quietly been gaining value

I have quite a nice stash of some Harrison's. Haven't bought any in a while though.

I've been doing this long enough to know a good price when I see one. I paid $6/card DLVD. I'm just curious as to some people opinions on him long term.

Yeah that is a pretty solid price.

All this time I have just been searching "Travis Harrison Bowman Chrome."
Missed out on that one.

Very solid bat but is limited in the field. First base is where he will probably end up from what I've read. He can hit so he might have a chance. Not a bad gamble but maybe I am just a homer.

Yeah the title was shot on this auction lol. I'm glad I stumbled across it though. I'll guess I'll just wait and see how he develops in his first full season.

He will be a first baseman or a DH. HE does not have the bat like Sano does that will play him, regardless of fielding skills. He is not worth investing a bunch of money in.

I disagree. The OP has a higher ROI, and probability of ROI on that investment because he spent so little. What's more likely, Travis Harrison goes from $5 to $10 or Jurickson Profar goes from $75 to $150 per Bowman Chrome.

As long as Harrison continues to hit he will be fine as JT stated he has very little defensive value. Another problem is next year he will be in the pitcher friendly Midwest League(Cedar Rapids) so the numbers may not reflect how well he does.

This guy is going to mash the ball. The question will be whether or not he makes enough contact to stay in the bigs.

I see 30 HR potential, but I would think he gets traded because Mauer is going to be on 1B before too long.

I also have a very nice stash of Harrison and also saw this lot but passed on it due the the lack of quality in chromes and sterlings. I'm not a fan of Leaf or panini when a player has a chrome from the same year.

Thanks for the input guys. At the price I paid, it seemed like a no-brainer as far as the risk involved. I could probably resell the rest of the lot and have the Leaf 1/1 Auto in my pocket for under $20.

If anyone has the Leaf Metal Draft Prismatic Auto /99, Blue Prismatic Auto /99, or Red Prismatic Auto /5, shoot me a Pm please! I might as well complete the rainbow!

I need more harrison cards..
I have bowman autos.
25 base
10 ref
5 blue
3 gold
2 purples.

I think he will be just fine, given time. He was compared to Harper coming out of high school, and he needs to just work more on his contact, he can really smash the ball, and hit for a decent average.. I think a slash line of .. 270/20-25 hr/80 rbi yearly is possible.
His rookie ball stats seem eh, but I'm sure they were telling him to work on his swing as it seemed to have a few holes in it.
