That was probably one of the top 5 hits in the product in 2006! He hasn't been a total bust though, if you look at his last 2 seasons he's been great. Along with a pair of gold gloves.

He's a good player for sure. He had huge hype, hasn't lived up to that but any team would like to have him.

He's probably been the best overall player on the Royals over the past 2 seasons. He hits for decent average, one of the best defensive left fielder's in the game, scores and drives in runs etc, definitely agree that any team would love to have him.

I wonder what Keith Olbermann would have payed for that 6 years ago. I believe he payed $10-$15K for just a cut-out base rookie card(that wasn't supposed to be in the product) of Gordon from 2006 Topps Baseball.

Doesn't 2006 still have the Longo Super Auto out there? I thought that would be a lot closer to the "holy grail" than Alex Gordon

It's been a great investment so far. The last offer I got on it was 11,000 but I don't see it leaving the collection any time soon.

Anyway, Alex Gordon was hyped up to be the next Mantle. Back on the tops forums, everybody was saying that Billy Rowell,Casey Kiker and Gordon were the future of the MLB.

Yes but wondering if the poster thinks it is true.

I'm glad it ended up in the hands of a collector! I'm also glad it has increased in value so much...it's a great card of an awesome player!
