Urgent...Need some help with Mickey Mantle auto and a babe ruth

Not a baseball guy, my brother has a chance to pick up these items...what i Need to know is what are the chances these are legit and what would you pay for them to make a profit for each item.

the multi signed baseball is 500 HR club

The ruth is the biggest item and again I have no idea about it, thanks so much for help guys

guys wants 4,000 for everything below, is this worth it to make a profit or not?

Those look legit to me. I would get them authenticated by JSA and that should help you make much more profit. JSA will be at the next Tristar Houston Show in January if you are in the area.

Cool thanks, well I am in SC so that would be tough trip to make. These are in front of my brother right now so this is kind of urgent to determine a value for each one to make it worth while

I see several Ruth checks online asking 6-8k but none have sold

The Williams is 100% fake. He never left the "a" open in his signature. So if ones fake I wouldn't trust any

Everything else looks good. Litho was an UDA piece. Make sure the check is not a copy. Tons of those out there.

I agree. The mantle litho might be ok, rest of the mantles are fake. There are also fake Ruth checks and the pic isn't good enough to tell you for sure. Really don't like the Ripken/Ryan's either. I might take a chance for $1k or so but no way at $4k.

Mickey Mantle didnt start "looping" the M's in his sig before 61. That joint is fake as hell.

That babe ruth check doesnt look nearly worn enough to be legit. And the ink on a lot of those signatures look far too fresh to be good. You will be getting hosed.

Always remember this- the FBI estimated that 70% of non-certified sports memorabilia is fakiddy fake fake.

the babe ruth is for sure a copy of the check and not an original. ive seen that exact check on multiple framed pieces

i was just looking up check, the left side of one i showed looks very clean on the left side and has a border

The one below which is psa/dna you can see where it was torn from a book or something and no border

i'd be willing to bet everything pictured is fake, all of it immediately looks off in my opinion and you gotta know those baseballs are fake, especially the 500 one, look how the ink is on the ball, it looks like he just wrote it on there 5 minutes before he tried to sell it to you.

save yourself some time and don't even question it, just move on from these.

i have never looked at a signed baseball until tonight FYI ever, not once.

And my initial impression of looking up stuff online is most buyers who do not have a idea have no resource for accurate information. Thankfully I am a member here and I appreciate everyone sharing their expertise

I definitely agree with the others on the Mantle ball and blue Mantle. Definite fakes. The Ripken/Ryan looks like it is probably good. It's sad that there are so many scumbags out there who forge autos. I hope karma gets them all.

Was going to say the same thing.
The Ripken/Ryan are the worst forgeries of all. It's like the fraud stopped mid name on both of them because he knew he screwed up, but started again where he left off..

All of that stuff is beyond terrible.

I would inquire where this person "got" the stuff from...
He may need to be investigated himself.....

Their is an LCS owner in Hilton Head who blows me away with her collection and knowledge of Bobby Richardson and other Yanks. She has been collecting and in the business for over 40 years. If you'd like give her a buzz or even swing in and I am sure that she will be able to help you. Still a ways out from you but may be worth it.

This is my opinion exactly. MAKE SURE THE CHECK IS NOT A COPY, Mantle ball and 500hr ball are fakes as well. I like everything else...

The Ripken/Ryan is an authentic piece. They signed 2,000 of those for SB back in the 90's.
