Default 2012 Bowman Draft NO NAME?

So, I'm seeing this pop-up on eBay...anyone get any of these NO NAME error cards in their boxes? In multiple cases I have yet to see 1! Yet, there was a complete set (1-55) sold last week. ???

Normally happens with every product released. Just printers running out of ink or something like that. Someone who comes across them normally gets a bunch of them in a row. Big name guys can be decent valuewise but normally not a big money maker

Clearly not as rare I would imagine a decent amount get made before it is caught that it didn't print properly.

They aren't "errors" in the classic sense. They are printing defects.

They are not SP, despite how some auctions are selling them.

Actually they aren't errors OR printing defects. This is intentional by Bowman. The way to tell if it is a defect or intentional is the "Bowman" on the top left will also be missing. If it is there, it is a printing defect. If the name and the "Bowman" is missing, then it is intentional. I have not been able to find out how many of these were done. Here's a link for more info.

I'm curious, why if the name & Bowman is missing it's intentional?

Yep started to say the Bowman Draft "No Names" aren't errors they are a legit variation for that set. They were only done for Rc cards though.

per Sportscardradio.com

they are not deliberate variations......... the only reason Sportscardradio has them as such is because so many people started listing them that way.
every year Bowman & Topps S1, S2 & Update that i can remember (all the way back to 2000 and some more than others) have had the no-name printing defects. the gold foil runs out and isn't caught before many are already printed & cut.

And that is exactly what the Frank Thomas NNOF is, a printing defect.
