I think Dickey would be more inclined to sign an extension with Texas.

No one knows, especially if he says he wont resign with anyone. Its a huge risk but thats 2 extremely good prospects for 1 year of Dickey. Olt is ready now and Buckel is ready in 2014.

Mets should be driving Dickey to Texas right now.

Well put. I'm not saying he is a bad pitcher, because clearly he's not, but there's virtually no shot he repeats last year.

Which is what the Mets are asking for in return.

Or we can just start making threads about stuff that hasnt happened yet because we are overzealous Blue Jays fans who think we are already in the playoffs!

Or think a catcher who hits .220 and Rasmus are worth a Cy Young hitter.

Either way, you can submit those silly rumors to me, I do like to laugh.

Like when the Jays finish in 4th this year

But how is what I'm asking. Why should anyone believe that he will regress when all he has done is improve every year?

You really think the Yankees can pull off 3rd?

Rays, Orioles, Yanks? I had the Blue Jays in 3rd - otherwise we agree.

No if they were asking for that they would need at least an amazing player. They are asking for a couple solid prospects

Hahah wont even mention the Red Sox, they can finish 1st to last and it would not surprise me.

Then again, a team who hasnt won a world series or been in the playoffs in TWENTY YEARS are already being cocky does warm my heart

Orioles and Jays fans can talk about how awesome the playoffs this year are!

Pretty sure I'd make this bet...

Yankees and Red Sox (my side) v. Orioles and Blue Jays for the division title where the Rays are a push.

I would be surprised if they moved Dickey now for JP and Gose based on what they were asking for from other teams earlier. These guys are not even close to the type of player they had previously asked about.

Jon Morosi ‏@jonmorosi

#BlueJays growing confident they will acquire RA Dickey, source says.

#BlueJays have the pieces to do this -- Gose and Arencibia or D'Arnaud -- although I do not have confirmation that is the offer.

I'd rather let them keep Gose if it means the Mets can get d'Arnaud. Go for quality, not quantity.

just considering what sandy did with Beltran, i feel like we would be underestimating him if we dont at least think there is a chance the mets get d'arnaud here
