If it's d'arnaud it will have to be a bigger deal where ike davis is involved. No way they trade travis for dickey straight up, let alone adding gose. I could see this ending up as a 5 or 6 player deal.

If the Mets were offered Buckel and Olt from Texas, than the offer from Toronto must be very good, I'm talking Gose and D'Arnaud, maybe better?

I'm pretty sure those reports were false.

Ok so they were false, but I could still see D'Arnaud and Gose happening. Not more than that. Unless there is competition for Dickey that arises.

d'Arnaud AND Gose would mean the Mets need to give up more

Something like d'Arnaud and Gose for Dickey and Tapia/Fulmer (a very young, high ceiling prospect).

I'd really like D'Arnaud in any deal. I'm sure Sandy would too.

D'arnaud is gonna be a good one and make the jays add an outfileder.. Maybe lawrie. lol Do NOT get Arencibia..Gose is a throw in...Blue jays are going for it and the Mets better take advantage of that and take this team for everything. lol Cmon Sandy, don't settle . Let's take a team to the cleaners, instead of the other way around..

You must not know much about anthopolous if you think that is even possible.

Alex is good, but don't forget who you're dealing with on the Mets either. Should be interesting to see what comes out of that room.

Calm yourself and i dont know much about Snuffanthopolous, nor do i care to know anything. I wasn't serious about Lawrie genius, but the Mets should request D'arnaud and an outfielder etc..That is certainly not unreasonable..

lol not bad. I just want the Mets to get the best players and most possible.. Mets finally have a chance to help get pieces to rebuild this team, and they can't afford to screw this one up...Mets don't have any other players who are this intriguing and can demand a teams top prospects...

The Mets should ask for D'Arnaud - Gose is not dry good IMO - I saw him a bunch, granted in AA, but still if I am the Mets I want someone other than Gose as the center piece of a deal.

?Why would Ike Davis be involved if d'Arnaud is in it? Look at the market for pitchers.

Considering the deal involves AA, wouldn't be surprised if they moved Niese instead of Dickey for a nice package.

But:
"Andy Martino ‏@MartinoNYDN

Per sources, D'arnaud was a "must have" during winter mtgs for deal w TOR to happen. Unclear whether its Mets or jays who will blink on that "

If James Shields is worth Wil Myers, than certainly Dickey is worth at least d'Arnaud. That's what I'd be pushing if I were the Mets. Especially if the Angels and Orioles are still actually interested.

"Acdg 2 an industry source, #Orioles talked w #Mets some about Dickey but no fit there. Os wont give up Bundy & dont have top OF/C prospects "

They may not be interested in giving up Bundy (who the hell would) but again, if Mets are asking for guys like Bundy, Bogaerts, etc, than they have to at least want d'Arnaud in a deal. Or a guy like Syndegaard or Sanchez.

Different situations, you can't compare the two. We can't forget the fact that dickey will be 38 on opening day and is currently without a contract, although I assume that would change if he is dealt. Would I love dickey on the jays, yes of course, but you have to draw the line somewhere. I mean the mets are basically offering a way below market deal, so how much value do they think he has. In my opinion, if dickey is dealt for a package that is less than exciting, that botched extension will play a big factor.
