Bottom line w the Mets/Jays.. Yanks are down, Red sox are down n D rays are down.. Jays didn't make all these moves so they can win 5 yrs from now.. They are going for it n are built to win this or next yr. If they don't wana give the Met's who or what they want, they can go screw themselves..What are the mets gonna do, continue to suck?? lol Oh no, what will us Met fans do if we don't trade dickey to the Jays. lol I would hold out for D'arnaud or whomever they want, otherwise tell the Jays to see if Roger Clemens wants back in Canada. lol What pitcher of Dickey's quality are they gonna get without giving up their top prospects??? Exactly... Lets go Mets!!!

Now exactly how good is this "D'arnaud" fellow....I know he is their number 1 prospect and a catcher at that......now what is he ranked out of all the prospects? Does he have power and/or contact and can he field?

He hit a bunch of homers n hit over 300 last yr.. No guarantees he's the next Gary Carter , but Mets are in the drivers seat here and should hold out for what "THEY" want..

Lot of brilliant GM's in this thread saying D'Arnaud would require "more than just Dickey".

How many of you thought Cleveland would get Bauer for DIDI GREGORIUS?

So overall, is Travis d’Arnaud a better prospect than Olt?

I think D'Arnaud would be the absolute best Mets would get, and I would hate to give up anything more, IF that.

Unknown potential in the bigs for a 38 year old knuckle ball pitcher.

A 38 year old Cy Young winner that has not been good throughout his career.

I think if the deal does go through and d'Arnaud goes to New York, you guys up north will forget about him soon enough once you see Dickey pitch in a Jays uniform.

I'll take $5 on that statement. Maybe if D'Arnaud sucks in the majors.

Just like Texas, Seattle and Minnesota forgot about anything once Dickey joined the rotation.

This is just an ignorant post.

He pretty much started in 2010 after converting to the knuckleball, one of the hardest things a pitcher could do. He has pretty much mastered it now.
