"Mike Puma ‏@NYPost_Mets

Noah Syndergaard, who pitched at Single-A last year, is the pitcher the Mets have discussed getting back from Jays. "

" Mike Puma ‏@NYPost_Mets

So to recap, Dickey, Thole and another player to Jays for d'Arnaud, Buck, Syndergaard and another player was on table this morning. "

The source said Terry Collins was going to lobby his GM to get Anthony Gose in the deal, but not happening as of now. "

"Jeff Passan ‏@JeffPassan

Two other executives who have asked on Travis d'Arnaud this offseason were told flat-out no. Shows you how badly Toronto wants R.A. Dickey. "

Noah and D'Arnaud is a haul, def more than I expected, but more than the garbage people thought the Jays would have to give up in Arencibia and Rasmus

I'd rather have Gose than Syndergaard right now just because our OF is so so so bad for 2013, but I'd be okay with either honestly.

Syndergaard is Toronto's current best overall pitching prospect. If NY can grab him, props. Major coup.

Pitching pitching pitching.

Mets arent winning for the next few years, why not have a loaded rotation in 2015 than some weak OF in 2013?

Depending on who the 4th piece is, wouldn't be surprised if they moved Niese (to the Rangers) or Gee for OF pieces.

Move Flores to left, he's a good bat.

C'mon Sandy. D'Arnaud and Syndergaard. Make it happen. Send them some junk like Thole or Mejia back with Dickey.

Would drain all of his value, would be a butcher in the OF as well. Basically Duda-esque.

Maybe it's just the optimist in me, but I'm looking towards 2014. We have very little money committed, Harvey and Wheeler should be ready to dominate and Sandy will be able to actually spend in free agency.

Wasn't he playing 2B and 3B all season this year anyway basically? It'd be weird to move him back to SS, and Wright isn't going anywhere. I guess he could play 2B and move Murphy out to the OF...I don't love that either though.

Yeah, he's going to continue to play 3B next year. Would say he eventually gets moved, or if they feel he's ready, gets a chance at 1B if they decide to flip Davis. 2B might not make sense, because even though they do have Murphy there right now, they've shown they want to build a strong D up the middle.

Just involved in a huge trade... Traded 4 blue M&M's and a color to be named, for a Purple G2 Gatorade and cash for a snicker bar! #Rumors

Unless it's red it was a bad deal.

This deal is so ridiculously lopsided. If I were the Phillies I'd jump in this and give up Cliff Lee. Heck, if D'Arnaud is no longer untouchable there are probably a bunch of other pitchers that could suddenly come available.

Pretty sure the jays are getting more than dickey if they are moving syndergaard and tda. If not, anthopolous is losing his touch and becoming more like ben charington who has never met an aging veteran he didn't want for 13 million a year.

Wouldn't mind the Rays jumping in either, have loved D"Arnaud since he was a Phillies Prospect.
