Anyone watching the crapshow on Brentandbeccas twitter about Leafs allocation of cases. Should be some good fodder to come out of this.

NO DISTRIBUTORS FOR THIS RELEASE. Yet 2 of the biggest distributors have 20+ cases and 1 case has been offered FS dealer to dealer so far.

In fairness, I threw Josh at Atlanta's name out there on twitter (@bigbreakcards) because I thought Brent was still buying all his product from him. It seems that is no longer the case. Now that doesn't mean that ATL didn't get a more favorable allocation, but clearly Blowout did, Big T, and others were able to get between 5-25 cases when this product was supposed to be direct accounts only and a strict 1 case per account limit.

Seems like a scam to me. Buy 1991 Leaf base cards for pennies, stamp a "low" number on the cards, change the foil stamping and make 1/1's. Then repackage the cards and make a killing.

There is no doubt that for the non-autos, this was a easy product to create, but you gotta give him a little more credit for getting all of the buyback autos in here. I'm in a weird position. I love the product, but super pissed about this allocation issue.

Brian could have done a better job of execution on this product. I really do like the buyback auto's, but creating parallels is absolutely dumb. Did Brian really think this would sell? If so, he really has no respect for collector's intelligence.

If he could have created a product with inserted these buybacks, maybe I would have a different opinion.

As for what was printed and the acts that followed, I don't trust this shyster in one least little bit.

Could care less about dealers crying about how much they got. If it is such a worthless product they should be happy they didn't get any.

Just spoke to Brian at length via phone. Appreciated him calling me after I emailed him but trying to get a point in was frustrating. It seemed the only way I could speak was to yell.

Leaf's position-

* They will distribute how they see fit.
* They have done nothing wrong with the sell sheet.
* If you order more from us we will give you more of hot product's even if the solicitation says the complete opposite.
* Everything on the internet about any shady dealings in the past is untrue.
* Since i'm a "new customer" I have no business questioning them.

I don't see why anyone would be angry towards Josh, Chris, or any of the other big suppliers. They do the same thing we do: If they want the product they try to get as much as possible for as little as possible. I see nothing wrong with that. 100% of the anger should be directed towards the company that says one thing and does something else. But again, this is a common occurance with this particular person so I really don't know why so many people are shocked. Shady people are shady people. Doesn't matter how many times they change the name of their company and make new promises. For the record, I actually like these buyback autograph cards. It is the first time I have been able to say that about their stuff.

ML, as I have posted before, Brian is a pompous SOB. I can't wait to have a conversation with him again at the National this summer. He emailed me a couple of weeks ago concerning my issues with Leaf Wrestling, I'm still drafting a response.

Everything? He sure loves to remember certain things. heres just One that must have slipped his mind. Didn't he devalue a product he didn't release yet by selling singles online before release so he could get top dollar for the hits? I think it was ink work archives. Instead of putting some really great hits in another repackage job he threw them on eBay a month before release to capitalize the most from collectors. So instead of having a loaded product, he had a Mediocre product and his eBay store was stacked. When question he removed them, but of course not before cherry picking better condition hits for a fcb member.

And remember when Brian would tell people to go screw if they are not a customer? Looks as if he now changed that tune, now you have to be a long time customer for him to bend the rules for you. But don't worry he will tell you how it sold out and how successful he is. Well unless of course you ignore that whole razor thing.

As someone who's talked to BG on the phone a few times, IMO, that doesn't sound like him at all. He wasn't at all hard to talk to, didn't have any sense of self-entitlement, and was open to any and all opinions I had to offer.

I can't speak to the distribution of his products, as that wasn't a topic we discussed.

Have you ever seen how he reacts on message boards? Plus calling him to give him opinions, most likely elicits a different response than calling with a problem.

He's been nothing but overly generous anytime I have ever contacted him.
That's not saying one thing or ankther about how allocation was or wasn't handled, but he's always been very amicable
