Hey, Im in Etown. Where is your store? Do you have any Randall Cobb Auto'd rookies there? Nice ball. Looks good to me. i have mantle signed litho in my bucket if you want to compare

The ink looks a little fresh for a ball that was signed, at a minimum, of 18 years ago. Caveat- I'm a skeptic.

as for the ink that and the tle on the end being kinda long is bothering me on that as well

yep a few cards, and footballs and other items ( i have autograph sessions and did a signing with him a few months back)

can you list me the cards you have? and have any pictures of memorabilia with prices?

Not to insult anyone on here, but the chances someone on this forum can differentiate a Mantle genuine from fake is highly unlikely. He's the most faked, and best faked, signature out there.

Send it off to JSA to be sure. Not that they're perfect, but they'll be right most of the time.

Yes, especially having to rely on an online picture. But James Spence is basically offering an opinion, just like we are. They don't have some sort of computerized high end autograph diagnostic authenticator.

They are relying on experience, just like anyone else here. And you said it, that there are a whole crapload of fakes, and good ones too. Doesn't this increase the likelihood its a forgery?

Correct, it's just an opinion, but PSA/DNA and JSA do have some things most of us don't; hundreds of hours of professional training, education in handwriting recognition and perhaps most importantly, a database of thousands of known good and bad examples with high resolution pictures.
