Results of my Cards 4 Kids post- Thanks!

As promised, below are some pictures from my Cards 4 Kids donation request. If you missed the post it's here: Help give some kids a good Christmas

A big thanks to the contributors from the following cities. (names witheld in case you're that type of person). You guys are truly class acts and the contributions far exceeded my hopes.

I have no idea the approximate value of this stuff but I guarantee these three boys will have a very special Christmas.

Colbert, WA
Nazareth, PA
Magnolia, TX
Andover, KS
Stratford, CT
Spring Creek, NV
Austin, TX
Des Moines, IA
Rochester, MN
Steubenville, OH
Blaine, MN
Decatur, IL
Donna, TX
I forgot Onalaska, WI

Here is an approximate list of what was donated:
Some small toys
National Treasure DVD
Cars game for Nintendo DS
About 500 STL Cardinals cards. All variations
Around 1300 modern and vintage base cards from various teams
One team bag of STL Rams
Assorted supplies. Penny sleeves, top loaders, etc.
14 packs of new cards for them to open!
2 Wrestling relic cards
Chipper Jones RC's, many Griffeys and a Packers bag
Probably 10-12 Bryce Harpers
A purple refractor of a Cardinal /25
Museum collection autos

In addition I added the following:
3 package of card pages
Wrestlemania relic card
(2) signed 8x10s with COA from Jason Motte and Daniel Descalso.
Rack pack of WWE cards

With the funds from my company I got them:
4 shirts each
Pack of socks each
Pack of underwear each
4 pairs of pants each
Each got a Wii game
Each got a boardgame as requested

Packs, supplies, huge stack of refractors and other #'d cards. Entire bottom row is on card signed and many of top row are either signed, #d or both.

For the Wrestling fan, Brenden.

Two boxes each and a signed 8x10 of current Cardinals (Motte and Descalso) Along with a game used and signed bat from Cardinal minor leaguer Bryan Anderson!

Thank you to everyone who contributed, maybe we can do this again next year.

I wish I would have been able to see this post before it ended! Making Christmas better or any day for that matter for kids who are less priviledged than those of us who can spend hundreds if not thousands on pieces of cardboard every year is one of the most rewarding things you can do.

Good on your company for giving the money to get them the things they need, and this board to get them the things they want.

OP you should feel good getting this done so well, and those that contributing should feel good knowing they did a good deed. Please let me know if you do anything like this again. Maybe next year we can orchestrate a BO event such as toys for tots and send out cards to needy kids all over the country...

Thank you for the nice words. My company adopted about 20 kids from 8 different families and we ended up getting them 3 SUV's worth of presents. I think each kid got about 12-15 gifts. I'm proud of my company's effort and the amazing donations from BO. I will definitely try and organize this again next year.

I saw this link the other day and it made me feel really good about what we did. I know for a fact that the kids I bought for lost their dad in 2012 and the mother is a good person (I did a little googling...

)

That's insane. They're probably expecting a pakc or two of cards. I wish I could see their faces when they get all of this.

Trying to get the 1933 Goudey set together.
