Don't want to bomb the thread with scans, but I'll start posting a few cards from my collection that I've already scanned...here are my two "best" McAllister cards:

Bowman Chrome Red Refractor Autograph /5

Pro Debut Magenta Printing Plate Auto (McAllister/Wes Hodges) 1/1

That Red Auto is beautiful! Is that a PC forever card? Only reason I ask I love prospecting/collecting Indians at the same time. For some of the new Bowman releases I buy multiples of the same auto, one to keep the rest to sell if they ever do anything.

Thanks! I like picking up Indians prospects, but I'll only sell them if they get dealt. The McAllister Red is definitely a PC card, one of my very favorites; I'm a huge McAllister fan. Have a bunch of signed stuff of his from his Triple A days, including a signed ticket stub from his MLB Debut (when Hafner hit a walk off grand slam).

@ClevelandIC

I'm kind of lukewarm on the Nyquin pick too. Don't want to bash it for the fear of having to eat my words if he pans out.

My worry with Bauer is that the combo of this weak rotation and the option of pitching in a pitchers park like Columbus is going to spell trouble for his development. However, I do find it exciting that for once we have a high potential prospect. I guess I never got into collecting guys like Santana/Kipnis/Choo because I was spoiled growing up collecting HOF or near HOF caliber guys like Ramirez, Belle, Lofton, Thome and Sabbathia. What I have been trying to put together recently is a collection of early to mid 90's inserts of these guys. Mainly the Stadium Club/Ultra inserts that were tough to get back then like 1st Day issues and other 1 per box hits.

To say I am Kipnis fan is putting it mildly. This is just a touch of what I have snagged the past 2 years.

Impressive Kipnis collection!

Kazmir? Didn't even know he was an option. Pretty low risk, not a major move but I like it! Still curious where Marcum is going to end up. I don't think he will sign here but who knows.

Minor League deal for Kazmir...not expecting anything from him. Got rocked with the Sugarland Skeeters (the team Clemens pitched for) last year, and had pretty bad numbers in one of the South American Leagues. If you can't pitch well in the Indy Leagues, yikes.

We got him. More money than I wanted to spend. I will take him thought, our line-up is definitely better and we actually went out and signed someone for longer than a year. Hope this ends well for us!

This isn't the big Kipnis piece I am waiting on but did pick this up this week also.

Nice Kipnis! Been meaning to pick up one or two of his TTT autos, but have yet to get around to it. In the next week, I'll have one huge pick-up thread that I'll link to this thread...

Pretty excited about Swisher. Little expensive, but he's just what the Indians need. Good, right-handed power bat. Plus, he's a Buckeye.

Totally agree with that. I think it finally establishes us as a team that CAN land a free agent. Who knows, now that we've got these pieces this offseason, that will help us land a big one next year

Really love what the Tribe have done in the offseason...the gas can that is Tony Sipp is gone. They added to better bullpen arms in Albers and Shaw. A potential top-of-the-rotation guy in Bauer. Two right-handed bats with pop.

Don't forget a great defensive outfielder in Stubbs.

What worries me is the amount of strikeouts we are going to have this year. Just this offseason we acquired the 2011 NL leader in strikeouts (Stubbs) and the 2011 AL leader (Reynolds). They both got better as of last year, but i am still a bit weary about that.

It's not exact but I look at it like Choo/Stubbs cancel each other out (Choo did K 150 times last year) as far as the strikeouts are concerned and we're just adding the strikeouts of Reynolds. (maybe there's a little too much optimism in my thinking lol)

While it's true that the Tribe added probably over 400 strikeouts, they also added probably 45+ hr's.

Hello gents! Wasn't expecting mail today but I finally got this in! Got it from a member here, I forget his name off the top of my head.

I, too, am worried about out strikeout total. We led the league two years ago and to add those two players.. ehh. Not looking promising. But, again, I am still very hopeful. I will be the first one to raise my hand I was wrong, as I hope I am.

Also, I wanted to keep a running name/collection list in the first post so if we ever want to trade or find something of an Indians player we don't collect maybe we can point them in the right direction! If you guys have already posted what you collect I will add it but if there is anyone else please let me know!

Last thing, do any of you collect base of current and former Indians. I have at least 8,000 dupes of base cards. While I won't send all this to one person I would like to surprise you guys every now and then!

Merry Swish-Mas friends!

That Kipnis is incredible! What did it cost you, if you don't mind my asking?

The Indians I collect, in order...Kipnis, Eric Berger, Zach McAllister, Lindor...others.

$42 dlvd. Seems to be about the going rate for other patches from the set so I was happy. #'d 3/5 I miggghhttt give it to my brother as he has been on and off collecting for a few years but is starting up again and wouldn't you know it, he loves Kipnis. It is fun having someone to collect and chat with so that is worth more than any card.
