Another reason to hate Topps...

So done with Topps at this point. I won't be busting any Topps Wax, I'll just stick to buying singles (non redemptions) at this point. I've been waiting on a 2012 Bowman Buyback auto of Edgar Martinez for 9 months, and it was signed 3 months ago. Just waiting on them to number it (per Topps)

This is the second report I've seen where a player has had past due outstanding redemptions and doesn't even know it. It just defies logic how HORRIBLY Topps runs their redemption program.

I don't think this is on the player . I think it has to do with his agent he prob has no idea that he has cards to sign.

We know the player doesn't know, but that's about it. Not sure where the gap in communication lies between Topps and the player.

That's my point I suppose. I'm not putting this on the player at all.

Topps puts these player autos in their sell sheet, gets us to buy it, then doesn't put in solid effort on getting them to ACTUALLY sign the cards. It took me 1 day to let a player know that he had cards to sign, yet Topps can't contact their agent, or even at least, ship them the cards to sign at home?

Just total BS.

I have a 2012 topps chrome black refractor auto Bruce Harper pending. Makes me nervous that it will never be fulfilled for reasons unknown. It seems like bryce signs what is provided to him, why wouldn't these be signed? Topps has certainly had
Plenty of time to print these, ship them, and have them sent back.

I feel sometimes that Topps does not make an effort to follow through on certain redemptions they place in their product.

The entire redemption program needs to be shut down. I do not know another industry where you buy something that is promised to be delivered in the future but you do not know when nor do you know if you will ever receive it.

Card companies should have to have the cards in hand before they can be put in products. Or we can all just go on ebay and sell pieces of paper promising to deliver a bryce harper autograph sometime in the next 3 years.

I'm done buying redemptions from Topps. I'm still waiting on a card from 2011 that they say they're trying to get the player to sign, which is obviously a complete lie. I think it's funny how they put "Congratulations!" on the redemptions, but yet a lot of people never even get the card that's listed on the redemption. I can't believe this crap is even legal to do.

I know this has been an argued point before that leads no where, but so many people but these redemptions because they obviously want the card that they are redeeming it for (i.e. me and the Bryce Harper black refractor auto). However once they say you can replace the card, you don't have a choice. It's BS and poor branding. I remember back in the day when redemptions did not exist and Topps had good customer service. Seems they just keep digging too big of a hole for them to get

Well, card companies, most likely, due with the player's agent, so it is not uncommon that the player knows nothing about it.

I understand the needs for redemptions. But I never understand why they can have a player's 2010 redemption outstanding but he has different autos in 2011 and 2012 products.

Yeah that is why I feel Topps makes little to no effort in fulfilling older redemptions.

That sucks. I'm waiting on a Paxton chrome redemption as well. Just blows my mind how Topps can have live autos of guys and redemptions. Case in point, I busted two jumbo cases of 2012 Bowman. Out of those cases pulled three Dean Green autos (one refractor). Bought a single box awhile box and pulled a redemption for a Dean Green auto. Have been waiting on that for like six months now and still nothing. Infuriates me!

My favorite is the response they keep giving me that the player needs to sign the stickers they gave them. I have a Jesus Montero/Gary Sanchez out of 2011 Bowman Platinum Red Dual /10 that neither have signed yet despite both players signing numerous cards and stickered cards for Topps since. I all want is the auto'd card of the players I pulled before they become washed up nobody's

I have a 2012 Topps Golden Ticket for a 24k Gold infused baseball signed by Griffey Jr, Hank Aaron, and Willy Mays. I mailed it in in Jan of 2012 and still am waiting. I have a couple of customers that where draft in the 2012 MLB draft. They where opening 2012 Bowman Draft and taking pictures of some of there teammates cards and sending them too them. Most of those pictures on the Bowman Draft cards the uniforms are airbrushed over their college uniform.

I have an Atomic ref auto of Jenkins from platinum redeemed and it seems less and less likely that i will get it.
