Need opinions...

I have close to a 1000+, insert cards from the mid 90's until around 2002-3. Lot of stars such as Jeter, A-Rod, Griffey, chipper jones, bagwell, etc. The brands range from flair, skybox, metal universe, ultra and topps.
I've been prepping them for grading for an upcoming bgs rcr/submittal in San Antonio on January 5th. My question is, is this a sound investment to make or am I throwing money away?? My plan is to resale after they are slabbed. Any thoughts? As always I appreciate the input!

I'm not familiar with RCR myself but I believe it's like paying twice. You have to pay for the first RCR and then pay the regular grading fee again to have it slabbed?? Once again I'm not positive on this but if I had a substantial amount of cards I wanted to get slabbed I'd send them in with a min. grade requirement, or inquire about a bulk submission to lower the fees.

I don't see any reason to get 90's inserts graded unless they are both superstars and serial #d REALLY low like under 25 copies.

I think COMC might be your best bet with these. All you have to do is price them, they do all the rest. Grading around 1000 cards might get expensive (6-7K on the low end). The cards will probably sell for a little more on there. I've had great success with inserts and rare low-mid end cards

No reason to grade inserts, likely won't bring any premium over raw, save yourself the money and just sell raw.

Makes sense, I was thinking they may sell easier and or bring a premium. Glad I asked, just wish I would have done it before I cleaned and put in card savers over 200 cards! Lol! Thanks again!
