But it's the company that deals with the redemption cards, not boomo

At 150.00 a slot you have to offer MUCH better cards as consolation prizes than that.

How about a Heyward base RC BGS 10? Talk about a money maker.

The worst, to me, is the "Heoric Ticket", which is a nice way of saying you won a $159 raffle ticket with your money. Supposedly there will be weekly drawings and then a grand prize drawing in MAY!!!!

Who knows though. He could have been contacted by an "upstart company" to host this break and given some of the profits. It wouldn't be on Boomo if said company didn't honor the redemptions and it was all just a cash grab. The whole product, company, contest seems a little off to me.

They did pull: babe Ruth 5 piece 2007 topps sterling relic 1/1, Jackie Robinson postcard auto for a cut, mantle & Ted Williams autograph photos, jeter sweet spot auto 9.5/10, very nice looking Nolan Ryan RC and a lot of other nice stuff. Not defending in any way as there were a lot of BGS 9.5 & 10s of pretty crappy cards and those redemptions for just a chance to win I think. Really had some sick cards but who knows if it was just a loaded couple Of cases. Also the base Darvish was all 10 subs which I've never even seen before.

They contacted Boomo. They "liked" his style and way he did breaks, and how he was "real". So they wanted him to be the I guess you could "Ground breaker" for the Company and this joke of a product.

I would LOVE to get $7600+ for a 1/1 Babe Ruth unauto'd relic, a Jeter auto, a bunch of base cards, and a bunch of "redemptions" I just printed up...

Product was front loaded. Last 2 cases were 95% garbage. But Boomo sounded like a rep for the product. Trash talking other products, and saying how great the cards are blah blah blah talking about great ROI blah blah.

Except the way they pack the product shows their real intent - only sell through Boomo for as long as they have buyers. They KNOW that no one is paying $636 for a whole box, and there is no way to buy the prodcut one card at a time, unless it is done via live break.

I like how at first he was only going to be doing the initial breaks of it to get it off the ground, and then suddenly he's got a ton more of the product coming on Friday, presumably more after that. How else could this product even be sold?

Why do I get the feeling that this company's next break is going to be all basketball with an 86 Fleer Jordan RC and a John Wall Exquisite leading the way?

Exactly. Seems distributors either want nothing to do with it, or they never heard about it. Either way, the whole thing is fishy.

They sold 5 cases (60 cards), at $159 each. Over $9,500 and my guess is 45-50 of those cards were $20 or less (including the "Heroic Ticket" in those, and assuming the "Heroic Points" are worthless, which they likely are since the drawing/end of contest is in MAY).

I was thinking the same thing ... the ruth .. its ok .. .the jeter .. meh not bad, but nothing special.

The rest? random junk memorabilia and 'redemptions'? then a bunch of high grade, low value crap which is likely just to attempt to manipulate naive minds into thinking they have something great, and realize its only a $20 value item. It's all very shady...
