Default eBay in the news

Deaf woman's eBay complaint highlights dispute over Web access for disabled - CNN.com

interesting. does it make sense? eBay so strict with these guidelines but still yet healthy scammers exist.

If she took the time to got to court rather than just have a friend or someone else help her out for 2 seconds or try the alternatives that ebay supposedly offered makes me think she's just a c

She's full of shite. She doesn't have to hear to sell. Wants a payday out of this.

This lawsuit makes zero sense to me. Do American citizens have a legal right to sell on ebay?

everyone has a reason to sue and make money these days... vintage comics and cards she found at a garage sale.

lol if she won, she probably ask for free listing fees, no end of sale fees

i dont mean to make fun of her, but i am tired of people popping up with "my right to make up what is right for me"

the best (or rather, most confusing to me) part was the very end of the article:

"You know what's funny -- eBay loved me as a buyer," she said. "Oh, sure ... because they made money off of me."

Um, you have it BACKWARDS, lady!

This is probably the most backwards statement she made.

I would say that eBay should offer a text message option for just this reason, but then what if a person if both deaf and blind? I guess they would be allowed to sue the whole world. Or would companies be required to send a courier to somehow deliver the message?

This country is being bombarded with this kind of bullcrap, and I am so glad eBay won this. I feel bad for people with disabilities, but it is YOUR disability, and is YOUR job to overcome the associated obstacles, not EVERYONE ELSE'S job to remove the obstacles. It's sickening to me how entitled everyone thinks they are now.
