For all shows, I use one of these Maxpedition slings. Stays at your side so harder to get ripped off.

I used it at knife shows. We all looked a little Indiana Jonesish...and unstable.

July 31 - August 4. We're visting the wife's family in Milwaukee during our kids' school holidays (mid July-end August) but haven't booked anything yet. I'll be doing everything in my power to make sure we're there during the National.

Starts July 31.

They'll have the Olympic Pavilion again this time, there were some really cool items there last time.

Blowout will be there too.

If you can avoid rush hour it is only a 90 minutes drive between Rosemont and Milwaukee.

Went to the last 2 in Baltimore and plan on going to Chicago this year. If you will be there for more then 1 day I think the VIP ticket is the way to go with all of the freebies you get. I have paid for my ticket each year selling off the ones I don't want. It also gets you in 1/2 hour early so you can get a better chance at some of the card company give aways.

Will find a way hopefully, tried to go to the last 2 but the money just wasn't there. Hopefully I'll be stable by then.

For those going that aren't locals where do you normally stay. Obviously hotels I'd imagine just wondering if there's ever any specials on certain hotels for this event. I'd imagine some sort of connection since the National is some what of a big deal and seems to be in the same 2 places every other year.

They call it the National, but it's not. Every year it is held in either Baltimore, Cleveland, or Chicago, all in the Northeastern part of the country.

Until they hold it west of the Mississippi or south of the Mason-Dixon line on regular basis, they should really just call it the "Northeastern Regional Card Show".

For collectors in other parts of the country like me, the Tri-Star Houston and San Francisco shows are a much bigger deal.

Hate, hate, hate, hate..... Chicago has three big shows of its own per year as well, so just because its a big show doesn't make it the national.

All kidding aside, I'm looking forward to having all of you here! It will be my first so I can't wait either!
