Is that correct i was just reading that someone said UD lost there MLB Liscense for 2010. So that leaves Topps all alone ? Humm that could mean Topps would be able to bring back some of the cheaper products.

Yes, that is correct. Ohhh.. I'm sure they will find some 'retarded' way to put out an 2010 product but it won't have any MLB/Team logos on the card or the player in the picture....which is kinda lame when you get half a pack of damaged cards from them to begin with!
You've been warned-buy at your own risk!

Upper Deck still has its MLBPA license though, so they may actually be able to still use the rookie logo and will definitely still be able to make cards of current major league players, unlike Panini/Donruss/Playoff who do not have either a MLB or MLBPA license.

Actually, I was thinking about something. I've only been into cards again since last spring. However, reading the threads about old products I was interested in ones that had redemptions for memorabilia. I'm surprised one of the companies hasn't kept that alive. I guess it would be very cost prohibitive.
Anyways, I was thinking...would UD be able to have a baseball product like that? I guess they could giveaway baseballs and bats but what about jerseys? I mean, those aren't cards...are they losing the rights to selling autographed photos and jerseys too? I know Just Minors and Tri-Star had randomly inserted MLB jerseys and such. I pulled a G/U Billy Butler Royals, a Civil Rights game Indian jersey, and a replica Cubs Billy Williams out of Just Minors. Last edited by mightbe; 10-28-2009 at 08:00 AM. |

Did anyone see they are going to insert Exquisite Collection in their 2010 products? I enjoyed these cards, honestly I think they were some of the nicest baseball cards UD has ever produced, I was lucky enough to get a when they did it before.
