Bowman is the way to go for rookies, and platinum has been better this year. I'd personally save up for a hobby box of 2012 Draft, though.

I'm specifically looking for a blaster. I'm going to try that "quest to flip for a pc card thing". Thanks for the input though! I might get some draft in a few weekends I think.

I'd go with 2011 bowman draft if you can find it for a decent price.

Check every Target you have in your area. I scored a couple blasters of '11 BDPP on sale and hit an auto and quite a few refractors.

I would just buy the pc card you want right now, but I've had really good luck with A+G blasters recently. You could end up with a nice rookie card, too. Obviously bowman will have the rc market cornered.

I did, but at the end of the day they're ordinary hobby packs of Bowman Chrome just like any other. They're ~4.5 a pack right now on BO if you buy a hobby, like $3.5 for the Harper after fees with a slight bump for gold, codes all expired, basically paying $12 for five packs of retail update. Probably still better than an ordinary blaster from walmart, but still.

Think I opened like 14 of them myself at ~$11 per, did hit two or three autos, one of them a gold refractor auto, no Trouts though.

They didn't have any 2011 BDPP so I went with 2012 Bowman Platinum.
