Obviously as a Brewer fan I really hope that he didnt take them. I know he got off based on the procedure and not on the science of the test. There are a couple things to consider though. When doing a drug test the procedure is very important. Of course just because something was wrong with the procedure doesnt declare innocence, but it also makes the guilt come into question. The other issue is I think they said his test came back 3x higher for testosterone than any other baseball player, pro or minor. To me, that seems like it would be really out of whack. Obviously not everyone is going to have the same amount, but to be 3x higher than any other positive test in like 4-5 years of testing? To me that would also raise some serious questions, especially when the procedure wasnt perfect. So in saying that, again I cant say definitively that he wasnt guilty. But I think there is enough to put into doubt that he was so I voted for undecided

Brewers fan, Braun collector. I'd love to believe he was completely innocent but I don't. Bud Selig, while no doubt privately pleased that his hometown superstar was free to almost repeat as MVP, was obviously publicly annoyed enough to fire his chief arbitrator - a seemingly clear indication that Bud believed he was guilty imo. The subsequent positive tests of Melky, Colon, Ruiz, Grandal and others has me genuinely wondering whether they aren't all at it again. We've seen with the Balco episode and Lance Armstrong's fall from grace that the system can be beaten, at least for a while. I can't believe that MLB testing is more rigorous than that of the IOC, for example. And we know plenty of cheats have passed Olympic drug tests.
I'm still buying Braun. If he fails another test within the next 4-5 years then that will probably prove to be a bad investment. He could probably get away with failing one when he's 38 or something. By that time the sport's most high profile PED cheats, Bonds and Clemens, should be residing in Cooperstown and future generations may not view their use of enhancers as much different to the use of greenies by demi-Gods such as Mays and Aaron. In summary, I voted 'no'! |

to be honest I'm pretty shocked that his reputation doesn't seem to be that damaged.
there is no doubt in my mind he used PED's. 3000+ testosterone readings are literally impossible unless you are on a PED, T that high is no joke. Die hard fitness brah checking out. |

Everyone knows he did them, even the Brwers fans although theyll never admit it. He got off on a technicality, 3x the normal T level is not possible without the help of some PED, he will forever be a scumbag in the eyes of me.

I couldn't agree more. Braun is a POS and a cheater who got off on a technicality. He shouldn't have won the MVP that year anyway, Kemp was alt better in a bigger ball park. It would have been amazing if Bud stripped him of his MVP.

Lol you think that even though Bonds and Sosa and Clemens will never make it for the same reason, that Braun is going to make it despite being on pace to have worse career stats than all of them, lol yep.

on a test that was suspect from the jump and has passed every single test he has taken before and since. innocent. and to say he got off on a technicality is ridiculous. yeah he got off on a technicality because it was the only thing that could be proved with solid facts.
