With less than 24 hours left until the launch of 2013 Topps Series 1, collectors are starting to feel Spring Fever!

And Topps is offering collectors a special Series 1 wrapper redemption to celebrate the unofficial start of the 2013 baseball season…here comes the exclusive 2013 SILVER SLATE PARALLEL.

Collectors sending in 50 Hobby/Retail wrappers (or 10 HTA Jumbo wrappers) of 2013 Topps Baseball Series 1 will receive a 5-card cello pack of exclusive Silver Slate Parallels. There are 330 cards to collect in all. In addition, bonus autographed cards have been randomly inserted into packs and feature the likes of Cal Ripken Jr., Ken Griffey Jr., Nolan Ryan, Tony Gwynn, Manny Machado and Dylan Bundy.

There is a 10-pack limit per household, which we encourage to be sent in one package. Any packages postmarked earlier than January 30, 2013, the official street date, will not be accepted. Collectors are encouraged to group wrappers and send 1 package. Topps will fulfill all wrappers submitted until supplies last. Topps reserves the right to reject any and all submissions at their own discretion.

If you like nice round numbers, if there are 500 autos total, there would be exactly 150 of each base.

Why make a 10 pack limit per household, therefore making it impossible to get a complete set without going to secondary markets? You'd think Topps would want people coming to them as much as possible.

You mean Hanger boxes right?

Because blaster boxes would just have basic retail packs I would assume, so those would count.

The packs in blasters are just retail packs ... so yes, those are valid.

No, blaster packs are marked differently than regular retail and have 8 cards instead of 12.

Seems like they excluded blaster packs from one of the hobby+retail redemptions last year, but I don't recall what product it was.

Ouch! You're right, I didn't look closely enough.

I'm sure if you send in blaster packs you'll be OK.

Was just thinking about it, I bet it has to be "regular" retail wrappers, either from gravity feed or 24ct box.

If i remember correctly, when they've done this is the past, rack pack/blaster box packs didn't count.

I'll hang on to them until I know for sure though.

Only a possible 151 sets could be made.Less sets depending on the autos.

Not true. Chrome blaster wrappers were just blank silver foil packs.

I know this because I always played the guessing game when it came to which one was the exclusive x-fractor pack.

No, only a few for me...sold many to folks and the bay. I do wonder how strict Topps is about the multiple addresses.

Because if they didn't have the limit, the wrapper redemption would be abused. If they limit the total nubmer of packs available, they need to limit the amount per household. Should everyone really have break the street and then next-day-air their wrappers at 8am on Jan 30 just to have a shot? Or should people be able to buy a case at the LCS after work, take it home, open it, and then send in their wrappers?

Besides, Topps loves the secondary market. Why do you think people buy their product?

Not that I recall. I sent in mostly blaster packs last year for the Hobby/Retail mix and received the cello packs in return.

What are you talking about? Only 1 pack in the blaster was a plain silver pack.

If its like the gold rush packs, probably a few weeks. If its like the bowman blue waves, a couple days. Im guessing more towards the gold rush.

Well I sent in 6 blasters worth along with my hobby wrappers and received all 5 packs. I don't know what else to tell you.
