Higher Grades for RCRs?

I was reading another post and noticed the OP had a high percentage of 10s on his RCRs. Has anyone ever noticed that the amount of 10s handed out on RCRs is greater than just sending it in raw? I wonder if they do that so you'll spend twice as much to get the card slabbed. I don't have any evidence other than in the 100 cards I've had graded, only one was a 10, and that was an RCR. I'm sure some of it would have to do with the eye of the submitter. I'd be interested in hearing others experiences.

Most of my BGS 10's came from RCR's...only a few came from straight subs...not sure if that helps, but yeah...LOVE RCR's!

BGS is a sham of a company. They probably have an undisclosed policy for employees to give more 9.5s and 10s to RCRs because those will likely be re-submitted for encapsulation as opposed to 9.5's and 9's which will probably be returned to raw. That equates to more grading fees for them ... we all have to remember they are a BUSINESS and don't really care about the hobby ... they care about making money. Therefore, they'll do whatever it takes to conform their business plan in a way to maximize profits. Marketing/business tactics at their best.

It's funny how much of a joke grading is in general, yet how much money people people make by grading and flipping. I don't get all of these buyers willing to pay 10x value on a card they could submit themselves for $8 and get the grade. Plus, what's a grade? If you want the card encapsulated ... get it encapsulated. I think high grade collections are for people with more addictive and perfectionist personalities ... I'm not shooting it down ... to each their own ... but I can't justify the insane premiums being paid for a gold label ... its asinine.

i sent in 200 raw cards and got 14 10's

I just sent 6 RCR we will see what they come back in 2 weeks

Yeah, I agree that the premiums paid are crazy. That's the only reason I get cards graded. For my PC, I'm planning on getting them slabbed in SGC because the cases are thinner and I like the look. I don't even think I'll have them give a grade, just encapsulate.

And we even have a live example fresh at our hands, the guy who posted his RCR results of 28 cards ... only 3 of them got a BGS 9, 5 of them got BGS 10 and the rest all got BGS 9.5 ... ha!!
