Default Is it okay to use a humidifier near baseball cards?

Figured I'd ask the experts on here. I've got the flu, and I know these work wonders, but obviously collection > general well being.

Any help would be appreciated, and the sooner the better!

People in Houston have cards. The humidity is 100% there all year around it seems.

Doesn't matter if you have a dehumidifier.
