Sending In Damaged Cards?

I have seen some threads where people say that maybe card companies reuse cards that are sent in as damages for new replacements.

In the old days I thought the card companies destroyed the card you sent in and was wondering if anyone knew what the policy is now for card companies?

I also wanted to ask if you send in a card for replacement would it be ok to maybe staple the wrapper or UPC to the actual damaged card?

Seems like this would solve the problem of them sending them back out.

I'm also curious about this. I sent in my Danny Hultzen refractor auto because it was damaged

I sent in a Ginter wood mini 1/1 a few years ago because the paper was pealing off. I didn't know you had to send in a letter, UPC code, pack, receipt, etc. and they just sent it back.

I may be wrong but I cant help but think your question is a result of this thread.
Which is a completely different situation.

As to your question

NO do not staple the card.

Some people expect every dern card they pull to be a 9.5 and in some cases topps will return the card to them and tell them that just because the card is imperfect it does not qualify as damaged. If you staple the card, topps cant properly examine it and theres a chance you get your stapled cards back simply because you quite obviously damaged them by using a stapler.
