Guys please pm the next after your pick and state that you did so. Otherwise state that you need someone to pm the next in line. Nobody has any idea after these picks if the next in line has been sent a pm or not.

It's a run on pitchers! I really like the Verlander pick there.

Just a heads up to everyone, I won't be back until later this evening. So if the draft ends up getting to me later on today, I will make my pick then.

-Excellent question, that usually is answered pre-draft.

Fantasy games, generally, tabulate objective stats to quantify a 'winner'. Most typical leagues use some combination of hitting and pitching stats like Wins, Saves, HomeRuns, Runs Batted In, Runs Scored, etc. In order to have a draft that is valid for all participants, the ground rules usually are discussed.

The draft board so far seems to assume that people are drafting for a standard 4x4 or 5x5 fantasy format. Sim leagues would look a bit different. Even so, there are *very* big names throughout history (top-10-fantasy-seasons-of-all-time big) that haven't been drafted. ANd that indicates what the real purpose here is.

Fun.

So just have fun with it and draft a team you enjoy. We'll pick you apart later;^)

Alright.. I dont play H2H or Roto fantasy at all. Not a fan of those types of game. I play scoresheet which is like a real baseball everything matters defense, obp, slg, lineup, etc..

Next two picks time..BTW I personally am factoring in defense, a lineup that makes sense, etc..

The first real reliever/closer HOFer - Hoyt Wilhelm - a CP with a knuckler!

You might just wanna PM the next guy to pick for you from here on out. Taking a closer when you have no starting pitching seems smart. Then taking a SS without any fantasy impact???? Might as well have taken Johnny Bench in the first round.

Lol didn't really expect this when I came back to check the thread. But I guess that's what its for. I'm just trying to have fun... criticizing my picks is fine by me. I personally think my team looks pretty good so far. I'm sorry not all of us are treating this like a ROTO fantasy league. Ozzie is the best defensive shortstop of all time and still hit a respectable .260 with 2,000+ career hits and 600 SBs. I wanted Wilhelm as my closer because I think after Mo and him there are few closers with much significance and feel I can wait on some SPs. Relax.

Dude, lighten up. It's a draft, if you are not giving people crap, it is just boring. We were talking crap with Tyson earlier.

That being said, I still think your picks suck.

I'm sorry, the have the next guy pick for you seemed like a shot, haha. I agree that it is more fun when people comment on the picks - just providing my defense to your comment

OP is up to date. And to answer everyones questions from earlier. The teams will be voted on by the public as to which one is the best. So the answer to how to draft is subjective.
